I've been playing with this marker since 2001 I believe, so hence the wear on the paint.

The response trigger is here waiting to be put in, and the remote and 4+1 pack will be here next week. I play at a place where it looks like bombed out buildings, so I sometimes get up close and personal. This gun should help out over the 12 inch smart parts barrel and stock placed CO2 canister. I'm also thinking about getting the 3" barrel as well.

It's looks alright. Give it a new paintjob and it'll look a whole lot better.

actually, that's the 5 inch JCS barrel on there now. I want the three inch for those doorway encounters :D

I don't even use the red dot sight or the laser pointer on the end. It's all for looks.

Mods right now are a starfire bolt, double trigger, rocket cock and the viewloader revy. Hopefully the r/t goes on tomorrow.

Its not the size of the barrel, its how you use it.

Well put...

Nice setup dude. Not to thread hijack, but here's one of my old 98's in a similar configuration.

*edit* oh yeah, sorry, its a stocker cut and milled with the slot pattern. It was done by the Dirty Dawgs Scenario Paintball Team out of Florida. I don't have a pic now, but currently its polished to match the body and was quite the spectacle at the Camp Blanding US Army Nat'l guard scenario paintball game played on their MOUT [Military Operations on Urban Terrain] training site.

I'm just kinda curious, why don't you leave the longer barrel on (like an assualt rifle type deal), put a sling on your Tippy, and get a Zeus, or other high quality pistol. That way when you go into a building, you can just throw the Tippy over your back, pull out the pistol and go from there?

And if you get the 3" barrel, won't your hopper be sticking out further than your gun?

I've actually thought about that... but that's just a whole lot more weight and $$. Plus with a pistol only having ten shots or so, I'd like to have the comfort of an R/T trigger w/ a crapload of paintballs.

I think w/ the 3", the barrel and the hopper would be just about even.... maybe :P

Excellent point. That's why I actually picked up my Zeus G1 for the Camp Blanding MOUT game this past Sept. 3-4. I actually used my Zeus 80% of the time, because I was also a 'medic,' so I was usually being covered at all times. Not to say that there weren't other medics packin some serious heat, I just wanted to run around in with ease just sporting a pistol. Using the Zeus standalone as a primary that long actually saved me paint - only used 3/4 a case at a 26 hour scenario which isn't bad, especially at $80/case. Then 15% of the time [night play and final battle - times where there are no medics] went to my A5/egrip/flatline. Ultimately, I only used my 98 for that little percentage, 5%, because I haven't used it since last October and just wanted to show it off a little
