IS using a 3000psi 48cu Hpa tank on a tippmann 98c ok

To answer your question, as long as its high output you are ok.

pre- set tanks come in two output psi, low(400 ish) and high(800 ish). you need a high psi output tank to make a stock tippy work.

Yep and if you want super consistancy buy a regulator.

I recomend palmer.
