I 'm messing with velocity for the flatline. If i turn the adjustment either way it doesn't seem to effect the velocityat all. Maybe 5-10 fps. It's running around 255 fps the max is maybe 265fps. I tried a fresh tank as well. Any Ideas?

how old is the gun? you can try stretchting the drive spring a little or put a BB in the hole in the end cap to boost the velocity a little.

 Tigman250,

The gun is old. I don't know how old because I bought it on e-bay. If the gun is old do you have any other suggestions for repair?

If the marker is old my first thought is that the hammer spring is worn out. Try a new one, then we'll go on to the next troubleshooting idea.

Definetly get a new drive spring. I recomend getting the Maddman
spring kit. And also get a rear velocity adjuster. The little turbulence
screw doesn't do that much.

why? all it does is make the drive spring a bit longer, no diffrent than stretching it.

Yes, there is no problem putting a spacer behind the spring guide rod in the back cap. A BB just happens to be the right size to fit in the cap hole, thus spacing the rod slightly forward to compress the spring a bit more.

You say "BB" and people panic like it could get loose inside the marker and cause some kind of problem. It is just used as a spacer, people! It won't jam anything and it won't go flying out the end of the barrel. It is just a spacer that is completely trapped in the hole underneath the head of the drive spring guide rod.

O.K. Thanks everyone!!   I have to admit being a newbie may have bitten me.  When I first bought the marker (98 Custom) It needed oiling really bad, but I don't think I oiled the ASA. Alright I know I didn't oil the ASA! I'll oil it right away as well as getting a spring kit.

I've also considered the Car Stock with velocity adjuster.

I wonder if I'll need a new valve? Anyone know where to get one?

But, If the valve isn't leaking then that is not your problem. Get the drive spring first.
