It seems now that broadband is now much more common that dial-up so I just want to see how that stacks up on the tippy forum.
And yes, if you didn't know this there is a satellite internet service known as Direct Way.

how many people do you think have T-1 or for that matter T-3.
54mb wirless and if I plug in, 100mb.

That would be your internal network speed, not your WAN upstream/downstream speed.

Provider is Allegiance Telecom. We are probably upgrading to OC3 soon, T3 just isn't cuttin it.

I live too deep in the backwoods, Dial up is all that I can have. (Well satelite is a possibility, but it totaly blows).
I connect at something like 26400 bps or sum crap like that.

we have T3, because my step dad is a doctor and all his work related
stuff with the machines and stuff is connected to our house, at least i
think its T3, it might just be T1.....I know a damn T is involved

I have broadband at home, but as I'm not home all that much I spend
most of my time online at wifi hotspots, such as the one I'm sitting in
now.
I know where most of the free hotspots are in the city, many
restaraunts and book stores have free access. Beats sitting in front of
the computer at home.
