Well...last night I acquired some tree climbing gear. A harnass with a rope, and 2 metal shoe things that have spikes on the sides for digging into tree bark.

I thought it would be fun to try it out today. I was wrong. We find this small tree to start out on. It has a piece of wood nailed into it which is going to another tree. This plank has rusty nails sticking out of it. So i start climbing the tree, get like 2 feet off the ground, and i cant pull my one foot out of the tree, i jammed it in too hard. So i start rotating into the board with the nails, and am like "oh....crap" so i put my left hand on the ground in hopes to slow me down and not be impailed by rusty nails. it works. i stop about 2 inches from the nails impailing my chest.

I think i am home free, and my friends are cracking up, but my one foot is still in the tree. So i ask my friend to help me up and stick out my hand, and i notice some blood. So i think great, i got a booboo. I look around my hand and notice the source of the blood. an inch long gash on the side of my hand which is leaking blood out rather quickly. it had all this dirt in it and even a little twig sticking out of it
which i pulled out, This was about 2 cm long, and was about half way in. So this cut is atleast a cm deep. my hand is covered in blood, so we go to my friends house whose mom is a nurse, and she cleans it out and wraps it.

I have a pic of it, but its on my friends camera. I'll get it tomorrow.

Reminds me of the time Jmann's brother fell out of my sniper tower. He fell two stories trying to grab on to trees. It was so funny. He fell in slow motion. He ended up getting a huge gash on his had. Fun times.

Hey, falling is not cool. I was at a 24hr scenerio game and I miscalculated the distance I was from the edge of a 15ft drop into a creek. Yeah, I was soaking wet for the rest of the day.

here's one for ya: i was aimlessly chopping crap with the new hatchet i just got for christmas (not sure why i got a hatchet...) when all of the sudden, i swing the blade hard and manage to miss the tree. i can see the blade continue its downward course directly into my kneecap. ill spare you the bloody details, but a trip to the e.r. was a given...

^Ouch! That must've sucked. I haven't had any bad injuries recently; however when I was 8 I was visiting friends in Switzerland and I got this really sweet knife(or so I thought at the time, it's this piece of junk that was really sharp) and while I was showing it to my friend, I cut through an apple the knife flew through it and nearly cut the tip of my finger off. Literally, the tip of my left middle finger was hanging. It was gross. Lucky for me, his dad was a surgeon, so he fixed me up all nice and good.

One of my best friends' mom got her finger caught in the garage door as she was closing it. It took off her finger tip and they found it the next day or something.

When I was about 12, I cut the lid off of a can and it fell in, so i reached in to dig it out, not a good idea. It sliced my right index finger tip from right under the nail, in a circle around the ball of my finger tip. I would have had literally no finger print on that finger. Lucky it was barely attached, so we went to the hospital.

Now adays its odd looking, it bulges out to the side closest to where it was detached.

OOO and when I was in grade 2, I slipped on a cushion at school, fell forward and hit my eyebrow on a metal bookshelf corner. Big gash, went to the hospital, had to get 6 stiches. Not fun for a 7 year old.

How did she manage to get her hand stuck in the garage door?
You actually would have a fingerprint, but it would take a month or two to grow back.

yesterday in school, i reached in my backpack not realizing i had just shoved my metal geometry compass into my backpack and i slam my hand in there to get a binder and my index finger has a compass point stuck in it as i pull my hand out quickly.  Im like ahhhhhhh!!!! Cuase well you know, theres a metal compass sticking about a cm into my hand, so my seat partner rips it out before i realize what hes doing and now blood is every freaking where and now i have to go to nurse.  It was fun

If you can't carry a folder and a book around without getting tired, then you're not doing the right stuff in weight training. And boring..? What the hell.

Book bags are awesome.

I just keep all my books in my locker and go to my locker before class, they say it's a fire hazard so we cant carry backpacks around, but we sure as hell can take **edited** man bags or a purse if you heart desires.

My dad was using a jointer and the wood kicked back, (of course the saftey guard wasnt on) the wood sucked his hand down into the rotating blades and cut off his tip of his index finger, and it looked like somebody took a saw and 3/4 of the way cut off his thumb and then hit it with a sledge hammer, (it looked bad as it was twisted around and smashed basically a finger nail attached to hamburger meat and a sliver of skin holding it on)

Yuck. Has anyone read the story of how PegLeg lost his leg? It was in a motorcycle accident, there was some gravel on the road and he crossed the line to avoid it, then saw trucks coming from both sides. He tried to get in between and the one truck hit his leg with it's bumper. He said he thought it was broken, but when he looked down it wasn't there. Full story is on pbstar.com

I only carry mine around because I'd be late to every single class if I went to my locker ever. My school is huge, and my locker's way out in the middle of fricking nowhere. I've seriously never used it.
