If you need a stock for your 98C just go to Home Depot, buy a piece of flat steel 3/4" wide and 36" long, and 2 screws with the same threads as the ASA but just a little longer than the original screws. Then cut the flat steel to 20" long. On one end drill 2 holes to match the ASA holes. On the other end 6" from the end put a 90 degree bend in it. Then you just sandwitch the new stock between the bottom of the grip and the ASA and you're done. You might want to make yours a little longer or shorter for a custom fit. This stock is great because it lets you use the sights on your marker without your mask hitting it.

Compare the prices and I'd pick the homemade one.

With the length of the flatsteel you're going to use, it isn't going to be a significant addition at all.

There's no reason to use a heavy gauge steel, a nice piece of 1/4" should do nicely.

We made a stock for a buddy of mine out of 1/4" roundstock, it works wonders, and theres very little noticable weight addition.
