Anyone read the updated news on the site?

"The most significant components of Tippmann's ultimate field kit are the
marker and goggles. The newly enhanced marker looks just like
Tippmann's legendary 98 Custom™, but includes a permanent, laser
etched "Rental" marking to allow field owners to instantly recognize their
own markers. Plus, a polyester-acrylic finish has been added to the semi-
automatic, fully upgradeable marker for extended protection during
frequent use."

Is it a 98 with the lazer inscrebing, or is it a different gun?

Also they are starting to buy people out....hmmmm....discuss.

No, its like a field owners package apparently...

Many fields use mainly 98 custom as thier main rentals, this would make it much easier to own 98 rentals without them getting stolen.
