I bought a Lapco 12" Bigshot for my 98C last year. Days later I got hurt pretty bad and haven't played or used that barrel since. I can't remember what the bore is or what paint would be reccomended for it. Anyone else have one that may be able to help me out?

Thanks

Yea, it's .689. And you'll get the best results using medium bore paint. Look here for paint sizes... http://www.zdspb.com/tech/resources/paintballbore.html - http://www.zdspb.com/tech/resources/paintballbore.html  .

Draxxus Blaze? Last year I heard that 32 Degrees "Team Colors" was a good quality paint. Is that still the case?

no, because it fits the barrel really well and is cheap

why, you got some hot pink stains on your jersey or something? It wasn't me! LOL

Draxxus Midnight...is it comparable to the Blaze? What's the difference?

Blaze are a little better, but also cost more. So if you are just messing around I'd get the Midnight.

Well I'm not playing tournaments, Rec ball. Crappy paint can ruin my day!

Injury? My back Fing blew out. Had to get surgery. A complete bummer.

^It shoots almost any paint well, especially the medium-large sized stuff.

Personally, I don't think much of BigBall at all, I would much rather spend the extra $5 or so and get the RPS/PMI Premiums, much more consistent size equals better overall accuracy. The $5 will be worth it when you are getting more kills and the balls are going where you want them to every shot.

I haven't used ZAP rec series, but I have used the ZAP Chronic quite a few times and would kinda give the same advice, pay the extra cash and get the quality paint. The Chronic is really good, easpecially for the price.

Not to say there isn't good bargains for under $40/case, but for my money and playing enjoyment I prefer depending on the products that are more consistent.

Ok I'm down to the final 3 choices for paint to play in our yearly work PB get together

The Draxxus Midnight which is $31 (is there a bad reason it's on sale?)

The 32 Degrees Team Colors $34

The Draxxus Blaze which is $47

My gun: 98 Custom, CO2, Lapco Bigshot barrel

Will the extra cost for Blaze pay me back in better shooting, less problems? Or will this completely Rec player even notice?

I personally think the PMI/RPS Premiums are just as good as the Blaze, but better fit your barrel.
