hey i need some help w/ my model 98....it is making the sound like it is out of co2, and doesnt recock. this isnt happening all of the time, maybe like one out of every 5 shots. my co2 is full, the ball detent is in the right way, and every o-ring that i have checked is fine....im wondering if it has something to do w/ the valve...i think some teflon tape may have gotten in there from the previous owner. how do i completely dissassemble the valve? i can get it out of the little casing thingy, but i cant disassemble it futher. any help would be appreciated

I made a post about vavle disassembly, do a quicks search.

If that doesnt help you can go to Model98.org and go to the useful info section.

You might want to check your valve bolts to make sure they are tight, but dont overtighten them.

it could be your drive spring is worn. it should be about 4 1/4 inches long. if it's not, replace it.

yeah, check the screws on the back side of your marker that hold the bolt in place. Mine came loose and it caused the same problem that you're having.
