My favorite recent google is Google Suggest, found in google labs.
And about 40 minutes ago, Google and Sun announced a partnership to bring a Web based office suite about. The revolt has begun, I think.(EDIT: Apparently, it was just to announce that google will start to promote Suns software. I'm still holding out for an online version of Star Office) Personally, I look forward to the day that I can log onto any machine, anywhere, and the boot files on the local system kick me to desktop.os.google.com/Dazed fron which I can access any program, or game I own, and always gives me MY desktop, no matter if I'm at home, or in an internet cafe in switzerland managing my resources. Sometimes I worry about what google is going to do with all that data as well, but you want to know something? They haven't done anything malicious with it yet. I'm personally inclined to trust them given their rep for honesty, and protecting their clients privacy. |
