Some of you might remember the video i posted of my last Infrared camera.  It sucked.  Well I figured out what was wrong with it.  I forgot to take out the IR filter, and I added a visible light filter.  Basically i had it set up to block visible light and infrared light.  I fixed that, took out the IR filter.  Now the only light it picks up is Infrared.  I have another video.  Keep in mind teh webcam is I think 1997-1999 webcam.  It only gets like 2 frames per second, but there are a couple good images in it.

Nice. Go put it in your oven and watch what happens.

It kinda reminded me of the Blair Witch Project right at the beginning, when it was just your head.

Light flourescent lights?  They wouldn't do any good.  I already tried it.  It just looks black.  The only thing the camera sees about the lights is their heat, which is pretty dim.  My 9 IR LEDs make more light, but since I cant get them to work, I used a TV remote.  Yes, its just a standard TV remote, it put out the IR light.

Its not easy to explain.  Its best to let you do it yourself.  IR light is invisible to the unaided human eye.  TV remotes emit IR light.  Try taking a digital camera, look on the screen, put a TV remote infront of the lens and hold a button down.  The camera sees the light and makes it visible to you.  The only reason that wont work as an infared camera is because it is made to block as much IR light as possible, and accept as much visible light as possible.  For an IR camera it should accept as much IR light as possible and block all visible light.  What I used to do this was 2 pieces of film negative.

You need to somehow make an infrared floodlight, so it covers a wider area.
