You're not going to be able to find a new one anymore for the 98c. You'll have to look on E-bay or some other online auction store. Right now you can get a Model 98 E-bolt on E-bay for $110. But that will take some moddding to get it to fit into the 98c. Search "E-bolt" and you'll find Bruce's article of what you have to do to get it to work. Or you might be able to find a 98c E-bolt if you're lucky.

Actually there are new ones out there. Several dealers have them, but prices approach $300. Do a Google search with E-Bolt +Electro-pneumatic+Tippmann+98

I can only speculate, I believe they quit because of a couple of reasons. The conversion, as sold by Tippmann, was very expensive (almost $300). Many people seemed to think it ridicules to spend more on the conversion that they spent for the original marker. (but, you end up with a marker equal to some of the top $600 to $1200 markers)

Also, Tippmann was coming on line with the Custom Pro E and the E-Grip on the A-5. Both of which approximated the performance of the E-Bolt by giving you a walkable electronic trigger. Again, the E-Bolt allows some mods, because of the elimination of the heavy hammer that requires a minimum gas psi to blow back to the cock position, not possible on a marker with just an electronic sear tripper.

I would guess, on the factory end, that there is more margin available on a new marker purchase than in the sale of the E-Bolt kit. Tippmann may not have actually been producing the kit, but buying from a dedicated vendor which is sometimes more expensive than in-house production.

Then all of this speculation may be moot with the introduction of the C-3 and its unique technology. If an electronic ignition semi-auto propane powered marker is in the works, all bets are off. Even my Super 98C with E-Bolt and LPK (operating at <200 psi) will be obsoleted.
