i've bought a new a-5 and the accuracy of the stock barrel is horrid I was thinkin about getting the 8inch Lapco big shot, but since they're the same price i was wondering if the longer big shot are any much better than the 8 inch, or if you'd recommend any other barrel brand for the a-5? |

get a 14" Lapco Big Shot, If you don't like lapco for some odd reason go JJ. If you want good accuracy with the A-5 go 12 - 14 in. trust me. If you have the money, go with all american, I really enjoy using there products. Flatline is another option. Overall I'd go 14" Lapco Big Shot... Action Village should have them for a good price. What kind of Paintball do you normally shoot? Are they small bore medium bore or large bore?
If you shoot a mix of Paintballs and brands then I'd just go with the Bigshot. Its an all around good barrel. |

I would go for either a Freak (have one and love it,) or some other barrel kit with interchangeable bore sizes, so that if you need to buy other paint in an emergency, you can be sure your barrel will fit it. ------------- Overshooting, America's greatest pastime. |

well it is said that all barrel have the same range w/ the exception of apex/flatline and the accuracy varys depening on the interior of the barrel, but it is said that the 8" should be as accurate as the 14" bigshot, why is it that its recommended that when one buys a bigshot they take into consideration the location tendency of the player such as: bigshot 8" barrel if you play front bigshot 12" barrel if you play mid bigshot 14" barrel if you play back does longer barrel provide longer accuracy distant to prove this true, or is it just prefrence and style of play that'll fit your play tactic? |
