I play hardcore woodsball over a area about 1 acre in size, and i needed something to singnal where i am and if i am underfire! So i stick the shell in my berral and fire away and its like a smoke screen above me, and sometimes i dye it colours to idacate stuff like, underfire and if we play capture the flag blue is objective captured and wut not! you felling me now brotherin' |

Chaff is small strips of metal to confuse radar-homing missiles. Flares are pieces of burning magnesium to throw off heat seeking missiles. Flak is artillery used to shoot down aircraft. they already have paintball shotguns in the market, they shoot 50cal paintballs, and they are fairly inexpensive

Oh I understand. It has been awhile since I have seen anyone suggest a paintball knife and it makes me laugh whenever I see it mentioned. I suppose even this brief satirical discussion will bring forth that lunacy.
It has been a long day when I mention "satirical", "lunacy", and "paintball knifes" in the same post..... -------------

I was thinking that the only way to make a "paint knife" would be to get a battle swab and dip it in some paint fill ink and use it like that...whether u have the time to think ur gonna use it, or drain 50 paintballs is ur time, not mine:D

No, he uses what's left of an actual shotgun, and uses real powder and wadding to fire paintballs. It's actually deeply disturbing at first if you read the original thread where it came up, but he pretty much proved himself to be a reasonable kid.

For what it's worth I do it occasionally. Then there was ths time I came up behind a foxhole and found a guy in it- I started screaming "SURRENDER! HANDS UP! Actually, I do occasionally. In fact, I had the single best paintball game of my life this summer, but before I brag I will qualify that conditions were perfect for me and there was a lot of luck involved. It helped that I was on defense in both (single flag) games and the area was greener/more overgrown than it had been in years. Also, there was just enough of a slight breeze blowing to help mask movement sounds. I had surrendered people before, and even gotten a few barrel tags, but had never eliminated more than one person at a time that way. (Okay, there were those four guys that I surrendered together, but I only did it because my slide check jammed and the marker wasn't working; anyway they don't count because they were all brand new players and started dropping their markers the minute I began yelling.) Back to the story. It had been a normal day until the third game when I was working my way thorough the thick brush along the creek and suddenly found myself close enough to reach out with my barrel and touch one of the opposing players on the back of the neck. I did and he left. I got regular surrender that same game and was feeling pretty special afterwards. The fourth game wasn't memorable, but then everything just went right for me in the fifth one. I barrel tagged another opponent, surrendered six others (one of whom was sneaking around in a ghillie), and took out six more with only about a dozen shots. The best part was these were all experienced players, although it was a mix of woodsball and speedball folks. I thought about quitting paintball right then and there because I knew I'd never play anywhere near that well/lucky ever again. -------------
