I can get an Vision Imp with Freak kit, progressive, and tear drop barrels. With check it uni, and about $200 in ups for about $300.  I want to know why people hate them.  If there too heavy, work out.  I mean why dont people like them anymore. They use to be the gun everyone wanted, but not anymore.

Is this a good deal.  I could probubly talk him down to 275-250.  Or should i pay 300 for a stock b2k4, boomy, uni and a feed neck?

Im focusing on the Imp though

I've just seen too many break down. I'm not going to endorse or recommend a gun that's always on the back of someones truck getting worked on.

I have seen many people with impulses and I know that the entire Shockwave Canada team uses impulses of some type. I would love to have one and am shopping around for one right now. Even a stock Impy for $300 is a good deal. Go with the Impulse.

Most of the problems I have heard about are only minor problems that people have ignored until they become big problems. If you can learn to maintain your gun, there won't be a problem with reliability.

DING! DING DING!!!!

We have a winner!

Impulses are Great, just have to keep on them 24/7 I know that sounds like to much work, but if you just keep your Impulse happy, then your Impulse will make you happy.

a Malfunctioning Impulse comes from a Malfunctioning owner.

For $300 you could probably find a used Gen-E Matrix. It may be pretty much stock, but it'll perform fine until you want to work on it.

On my 98 Custom, I've done so much to it to the point that I can almost walk the trigger. Almost, ... sigh.

I have owned excessive amounts of smart parts products including an impulse, and I personally recommend never purchasing a single product from that company from their quality and design decisions alone, let alone their unethical business practices in the past.

Let bygones be bygones. I think they are a good business. I might not agree with what they've done, but I respect their products. I think their biggest fluke so far has been the Nerve (I haven't seen one on any paintball field or in any store yet.)

While I think the impulse is a terrible product, simply because a lot of people want something because it is cheap and everyone else want it is definantly never a reason that should be considered when making a purchase.
