Ok Here is my thought

I bought an A5 with e-grip as a package.  I do not have a stock grip/trigger assembly to use in case my e-grip fails.

SO I want to either get the necessary parts to make my e-grip work as a stock trigger

or buy a complete stock grip/trigger assembly

or just buy another egrip to have on hand.

I called tippmann and I was quoted a price of near $70 for a complete grip trigger assembly.

For that price I could just get another e-grip as a backup

But can I do something to the e-grip to make it function as a traditional trigger???

SO lets say my e-grip fails and I want to get back into the game.

I go back to my bench and get out a ????? and I back in buisness.

What is missing in the e-grip assembly that will not allow it to engage the sear mechanically??

How is it different than a stock assembly.

Could someone who has both give a detailed description as to what is the missing liknk to making an E-grip work mechanically if it had to be done to keep playing.

ok in the end you'll be better with the e-grip trig as if it fails theres not a thing you can do in a games or out till you get home or if you have a mobile workshop like caravan as the take down for changing triggers is 3-4min but as the first fail it's all powered by the battery so if the board or chaimber fails theres not much you can do so yes go for the e-grip as backup i've got 2 plus the trig that came with the gun

But can I do something to the e-grip to make it function as a traditional trigger??? (NO)))

HOPE THIS MAY HELP         &n bsp;    GHOST-OPS

Yeah I called tippmanparts.com and got an answer as well

NO I cannot (with current parts on the market) modify the e-grip to work as a mechanical trigger.

Take care of your egrip, I've been using mine for a couple of years, hundreds of games played, more than fifty thousand balls fired through my A5, and it still works.

You should have and extra hammer and sear, as those parts to wear out eventually, and always keep extra batteries.

Your local proshop will probably order it for you if you ask. They can usually bring in anything if they are in contact with a distributor.
