I think this will be a catastrophe unless the product is completely fool proof.

Which it wont be.

stop being such **edited**s. its not gona kill you. Its actully alot safer because its at a lower PSI. less chance of your tank exploding, or the valve coming off and it rocketing into your face. and if it does its cooler to die in a firey explosion then to have your face pounded in.

Yeah, it provides the spark that the gun needs to use the propane. I thought it might have been full auto but it says in the owners manual.

Id still be paranoid about the line leaking and a potential threat...

"Composite Barrel" = PLASTIC.

But do people read that? No.

If people read the manual (particularly kids) there would be at least half less topics on here. Theres hundreds of "I found this orange thing on the floor, and my gun shoots too many balls and breaks paint." topics.

Ill expect to see... "this weird smell is coming from my gun, and a hissing sound, and my shots dont shoot as far, is this bad?"

Tippmann is generaly directed to the younger and new player market, which obviously has little-no common sense and mechanical knowhow. Bad idea, liability-wise.

There should be a legal disclaimer to the tune of, "If you were too stupid to not read the manual, then it's not our problem." Anyone who doesn't read the manual before using any peice of equipment is an idiot. They're usually the people who screw something up and then bash the product too.
All in all, I think it's pretty darn innovative. I wouldn't mind playing with one. Slap on a 40-50rd hopper and it's a nice little pump. Problem is, it costs over $225. I don't know if too many backyard ballers are going to pay that much for a gun alone. That's who this is being marketed to, people who have to drive 45mins-1hr away to get an air fill. I don't see those people dropping $230 on a gun, and then $35 on a mask and hopper and another $10 for the propane tank. That's $275 for the whole setup when most "bushballers" or renegade players spend about $100-200 on all their gear. There is the fact that it saves you money in the long run though. Another thing to consider is that it's a pump. There is only a small portion of renegade players who shoot pumps. Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's going to sell very well.
