Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem:
My Flatline barrel leans to the left approximately 2mm, which inevitably throws my shots off by about 1-2 feet.
I've refitted the barrel numerous times without resolve.
Since I bought the barrel earlier this spring, I'm worried that the warranty will be up.
Does anybody happen to know whether they offer a full 1 year factory
defect warranty on the barrel, or whether it is only covered for the
measly 90 days?
Thanks guys!
Chris

I suppose you could try to cut the threads somehow, but if you don't want to do that, I would just learn to deal with it. 1-2 feet isn't bad anyways, as at long range, most paintballs will end up going that way anyways.

What do you mean "leans to the left"? Which axis?

From what youve described, I dont think the barrel is in any way defective and you also, stated that the every shot shoots to the left...try holding your marker straight up & down as it should be and as required when using the Flatline on either the 98c and the A5.

Hey guys!
If I'm holding the gun upright, the barrel doesn't point straight, it
leans slightly to the left; whether or not that is the 'X'
axis :s
I've taken the barrel off and stood it up, and it is definately warped.
Possible Warranty?
Chris.

Are you sure its a defective barrel, and not just in the adaptor crooked? Sometimes they're off by just a little bit in the actual adaptor, and all you need to to is re-align them

What do you mean "leans left"? As in the barrel points to the left? Or the barrel is twisted to the left?

with the shroud off...
sight down the barrel. hold if by the adapter and look on top of the
screw hole on the adapter. when looking at the barrel this way, you are
looking at it as if its on the A-5. the screw hole should be on top.
does the barrel sight strait this way? or is it sighting to the left or
right?
look on the barrel (no shroud) and look for a center mark. its like a
perfectly strair scratch on the barrl, near the adapter. this should be
inline with the screw hole on the adapter also.
when the center mark is inline with the top screw hole, that means the barrel is seated correctly in the adapter.
if thats whats wrong you can straighten it. stick a small enough allen
down, into that top screw hole ad unloosen it, make the barrel center
mark line up, or sight it strait with the screw hole since that what
you are using to line it up in the A-5 with when the shroud is back on.
tighten the screw in teh adapter to the barrel is tight.
if that wasn't what was wrong, then i think you should just be able to
turn the barrel to the right, while on the A-5 until its strait. you
don't have to screw the A-5 all the way in. you just have to line the
top shroud screw hole up with the center of the front sight.
remember, make sure the barrel is inline with the screw hold on the top
of the adapter, and make sure the top screw is in line with the front
sight. good luck

Okay.
I'll give that a try, but I really do think after looking at the barrel itself, that it is bent.
And yes, it does "lean" to the left. I couldn't be bothered fixing it if there's warranty associated with it. But I think it's only covered under Tippmann's 90 manufacturers defect policy.

You could just call Tippmann CS and find out for sure wether or not they'll repace it. I've had them repace out of warranty parts for free before, so just call up and ask nicely. Or if you would rather agonize over your problems than fix them, there is plenty of abuse to be had here.
