What would be a better choice for my a-5, a e-grip or a response trigger? I heard the e-grip is not weather proof. can anyone help me decide, i play mostly woodsball.

For woodsball i suggest the R/T because you dont need to shoot as fast as the e grip can.... plus the rt is enough for a great woodsball experience

Unless you play in the rain, or in swampy areas, then I'd get the E-grip. You can put it on full-auto just like what the r/t does, but you can also swittch it to semi and a bunch of other modes.

Normally I'd recommend the e-grip, mostly becuase if someone ever went into a tournament. But since you said you playwoodsball, I'm gonna say go with the R/T. The e-grip doesn't like water/moisture, where as the R/T doesn't have a problem. Go with the R/T.

yep. Egrips I think are capped at 15
(correct me if I'm wrong) and I dont think R/T's are
capped. some people have gotten them into the
21-23 BPS range

Go with the rt. You dont need full auto in the woods. My friend e-grip messes up on his and eats co2 like crazy. Plus a Tippmann doesnt need any electronics in it. - My opinion

As stated earlier to correct that second post, the RT is faster then the Egrip (maybe not WAS board, not sure). However, on the A-5 what caps your BPS is the feeding of the cyclone. After a little practice and proper tuning with the RT you can shoot semi/slow or rapid full auto, without changing anything but your trigger pull. If you want tourny then get the e-grip, but if you want tourny then I wouldn't use the A-5 anyway. Don't sink that kind of money into a Tippmann, better bargains are to be had and only get better with time.

you can shoot semi auto on the r/t. the full auto is faster on the r/t. you can do bursts with the r/t........the only thing is it is illegal at some fields.

E-grip.

I played a 24hr (Avalon) with my egrip, it rained for over half of the game. I just put some electrical tape over the adjustment holes and never had a problem.

Yeah Tigman's 98 is very fast, he would probably need a Q-loader or something to feed it.

If you got the money for it there is nothing wrong with a waterproofed e-grip, it only has more potential to leave you with a non working marker. If the RT gets you the same result and is legal where you play, is less expensive, and more robust, and consumes no batteries, you decide what value it is to you.
