Yes, it's biased, unfair, inaccurate, and all that stuff.  It is also very funny.  If you can't laugh at politics, don't whine to me about it.

Funny, although I knew it was going to be biased, I didn't expect it to blatantly lie....

It's satire, calm down. All democrats are poor minorities and hippies.

My favorite:  "Remember that the more you talk about Jesus, the less you need to act like him."  That, and "We don't 'tax & spend' like Liberals.  Our system is 'spend & spend'."

I didn't realize I had over-reacted.

And with that comment, you made it even, so I shall settle.

I wasn't even mad, I just really never see any political cartoons posted for anything except liberalism on here.  Im sure some would take it the right way, like this one is, but I think the majority would call a Republican cartoon close-minded and bigotted (like the cartoon above did) and a liberal cartoon is catchy and modern.

I'm not trying to start a debate or anything, and I honestly did find the cartoon funny, espcially the redneck Republican.

I like the slide where it shows the items you have to throw and and the items you have to take into your life. I found that to be pretty true.

Well, if Ced says it, it must be true.  I withdraw my statement.

But seriously, I don't act like that.

I'm not saying you do. I'm just saying that there are some christians who just seem to push their beliefs on me. It's nothing personal, just that most of the super religious people I know are pretty crazy.

I know how it can be.

Some muslims bomb people, but the majority are cool people too.  It's all on what you wanna look at.

Eh. I used to be republican. I'm pretty sure this forum is what changed me over to the left. It showed me how much more sense the liberals made versus the conservatives constantly trying to defend terrible people. I can pretty much thank Dune, Clark, the smittys, and Whale for helping me see things more clearly.

Dune and Clark are the only two I can actually respect.  They look at things both ways.

I've changed some views, but for the most part, I'm still conservative, not that there is anything wrong with either of the two.

i hate politics. a lot. i fantasize about a world where there were no lies, none trying to bust false conspiacies, and no political parties to seperate the country. but alas such a place does not, and will not exist. it is in the human nature to be divided.

If anything I'm a Moderate. A little on the 'Purple' side.

Republican Side.

  • Extremly Secure Boarders.
  • Gun Control*
  • School Choice
  • Do-not-call, do-not-email(Privacy)
Democratic Side.

  • Legalize it
  • Banned Death Penalty
  • Pro-choice(Oh man, this is ganna get hot)
  • Look more toward Rehabilitation(sp) then penalties
  • Increase Taxes to get us out of a deficet(sp)
*: Okay, the current Background checks are ridiculus. All they can do is check your Criminal background, but what happens when a Psychitzophreniac wants to go buy a gun and murder some children because the birds in his heads tolled him. I belive we should tighten up Gun control just a little. Bring a Medical Background check as well.

"Animals belong in the zoo, in the closet or on your plate, if you want to see animals as a 'majestic circle of life' just order a meat lovers pizza"

Funny yes, irritating, yes, but if you guys don't see 'anything inaccurate' in there, I'm amazed at how you can call us closed minded all the time, when right here you're doing what you accuse me of.

......perhaps there IS proof liberal hypocrisy after all.

You know, whats ironic about this is that Here's to you didn't bash the cartoon, stated his opinion simply, clearly, calmly, and without being inflammitory, and tried to sidestep a confrontation. You, on the other hand, rant to him about "calming down" and when he says "I am calm, this is pretty funny, its just that..." you yell about "freedom of speech" without really addressing his comments at all.

Just so you know, Pot, I don't even think you're talking to the kettle this time. I really had to go back and check that it was Mbro arguing, and not Linus/Bugg.

If this thread shows anything, it's that, for some, there is a horrible lack of thinking on both sides of the fence.

Funny cartoon.
