i was shooting my tippy a-5 with a full hopper of paint and then after about 20 shots it stopped firing paint but it was still firing air, after that the c02 ran out. Did this happen because the c02 had almost run out?

Not sure, but I would guess there wasn't enough co2 to run the cyclone feed. Hence no paint being fed. Just a thought though. If you had enough co2 to fire 20 rounds with no paint then that might not be the case. All I would say is refill the tank I try it again, if it happens with a full tank then you know you have some bigger issues.

yes, it is completely normal! Don't worry, you were just out of air.

You had enough co2 for 20 shots, and that was it. After that 20th shot, your gun didn't have enough pressure to recock, so it kept cycling back and forth but not enough to recock and feed another paintball

Fill up your tank and see if it works

Your shots at the end of a tank of COČ get so weak that there is not enough exhaust generated to drive your cyclone... it is normal.  When you get in trouble and this happens, you only have like 2-5 decent shots left... you can manually feed your cyclone to make those last few shots.  they will not be very hard hitting, but I've made a kill that way... and then called myself out cuz my tank was dead.  It is even more evident with the R/T using more exhaust COČ.  But I wouldn't trade my A5...

well maybe for a Palmer...
