So I was thinking today, what is it about this forum that draws each member back everyday? I am sure we all joined this forum because we all had an interest in paintball or Tippmann Products but over time interests change yet people still keep coming back? Why is that?
I like to lurk the Marker Gallery to see the incredible talents that our members use in creating awesome marker mods. I also enjoy having disscussions with various members on a gambit of topics. What are your motivations for coming back if they aren't based in paintball? -------------

I used to be a big fan of the marker gallery. I just got sick of seeing
everyones nice marker when I had a stock A-5 plus some of the comments
I read in the T&O are funny and I like to help out as much as I can

I used to enjoy helping people. Then, they turn on you and educating people becomes less fun and more of a chore. T&O is fun though. |

The fact that this is the first forum I've ever seen gives me an emotional bond to the forum. I know more people from this forum than any other and it feels like I have built up sort of a reputation here. I've also gained more paintball knowledge through the forum than through any other. It like... un-noobified me. -------------

I guess after 6 years I just got addicted to T&O. I don't know what it is. I used to post in all the other forums and help people but then that just got repetative, now I just make asshole comments in TO to try and increase the size of my epenis to compinsate for having such a small penis in real life. -------------

I first came here cuz someone gave me the link knowing that I had a Tippmann and that I have a great love for paintball. I pretty much just stay in T&O cuz the conversations are really funny/interesting/entertaining. You guys just crack me up. There is also the right amount of people on the forum. There isn't too much or too little. I love ya guys!
I also come here due to the fact that I get really really really bored and have nothing else to do. -------------

Seriously, since she's way to young for me, I started because I got back into paintball several years ago; but I stayed because of the people who can engage in opposite sides of debates (political, sniper, etc.) without getting childish or insulting. Also, there are some flat-out modding-geniuses on here (it's fun to check out their stuff) and sometimes the technical discussions are very interesting. Finally, sometimes the most unexpected member comes up with something that while impractical when taken as a whole, still has a few good ideas tucked away within it. Edited Note: The wit of some forum members is a big draw too. -------------

| i like lookin at some of the crazy stuff people do to their markers, its either marker gallery or T&O. honestly everyone at my school things im a political genious (which i dont think is true) then i come here and feel like an idiot, plus Hades, Mbro, and chewp are always giving some smart-uknow remarks or doing something hilarious. i hardly play PB anymore cuz of Gas, insurance or having to pay for something for my suv. plus my 68/45 got jacket, and i deffinatly will not use C02 on my ION, i still got my A-5 and i wanna milisim it (wishful thinking) so thats what i look at in the gallery. |

I haven't seen the other forums in a month or two, I only stay in
T&O now. I used to go in every forum, but now it's just very rarely
a peek in Marker Gallery, and all the other times T&O. I enjoy
seeing what people say, and watching arguments.

I came here a long, long time ago as a n00b, posting the typical noobie questions, and got damn good answers to them. I learned alot about the sport through this forum and the people that frequented it back then. I guess I kept coming back because I realized that it was only fair that I pass along what I learned to others coming in. I guess that attitude is what got me to where I am now, and where I plan to stay for as long as possible. I love the game, and I've grown kinda fond of some of the cretins that frequent this place. ------------- ? |

I first came here because i was interested in paintball, i was going to all the sites basicaly trying to get information to use in my bid to sell the game of paintball to my parents, and cast it in a positive light.
I started reading posts my OS, thats the only forumer that really stood out when i first came here. I remember enos as a gold member and i think hwy as a platty. One day i wanted to answer a question, so i made a name and answered the question. I stayed around because on the internet, no one sees who you are, there are no generalizations, you are defined by the posts you make. Something about not being defined by who your family is what you have in your pocket really attracted me to this forum. Ive also ended up making a few, what i would call friends. | Back when I was really into paintball, this was the place to be. It was back with the blue forum, and there were tons of information, and plenty of characters. Guys like Johnny Hopper could always make you laugh. Obviously, a lot has changed. But I still enjoy reading what people are talking about on T&O, I occasionally will scan thru the newbie forum and the maintance forum to try to help with a problem, and now that I'm not into paintball so much, this is the only place where I hear about what's new in the game. |

For me it's basically that the only paintguns I have are Tippmanns, and I love Tippmanns and basically everything about them.

Seriously though, there's just those few people that make me laugh once in awhile, or even those people that get me pissed and my hatred for them keeps me coming back.
I won't get into naming names because I would forget some people, and there are quite a few that aren't here anymore, but there's a lot of people on here that keep me coming back. |
