ive got a 98 custom with an expansion chamber, and when i had the expansion chamber put on, i shot it and co2 is leaking out from where the steel braided hose used to come out of the gun. anyone know what the prob is?? ------------- Tippmann 98 custom 14 inch cp barrel 12 v revy hopper Pen spring trigger(lol) 3 stage expansion chamber double trigger phsycobalasitcs drop rocket cock 2 |

did you use loctite or teflon tape on the adapter that screws into the gas chamber? if not thats why its leaking. ------------- 98 custom e-bolt low pressure dye drop foward CP 10" barrel halo B HPA double finger trigger lighter trigger pull (awesome!) can out shoot an egg thats y i have the halo b |

I agree with the teflon tape route. That's all I use. Much more forgiving. Loctitie is not meant as a sealer, I'm not sure why people use it as such, however, teflon is. Otherwise plumbers would use loctite on gas fittings and I have yet to see a plumber do that, nor would I want one too. red loctite is more of permanent type of fastening agent. Use red loctite on bolts that you dont ever plan on taking off or out of things. Use teflon tape for all types of fluid fittings, and avoid loctite for those situations. ------------- you're no daisey. |
