My little cousin just got a deer she's like 9 i think and it was 9 point buck they couldn't find it the day she shot it and it got hot that night so they found it the next day but the meet was already bad nice deer though -------------

Yeah well we took a guestament and thats what we came up with.See the land that out club house and our scales was on got taken away because we couldnt get up enough money to pay for the land so thats the amount we figured it was gonna be about 130lbs |

So youve never been hunting in a place that has wild animals in it, you probably live in suburbia and the occasional deer comes in your back yard. Try going after deer that arent tame, the ones that smell humans from upwards of a mile away and turn around, deer arent curious animals, if they smell, hear, or see you all of which they have impecible (sp?) senses and see if you say "brain the size of a ping pong ball" Hell ive cut the head in half before and its the size of a softball. lol ------------- I shoot a Hoyt http://img414.imageshack.us/my.php?image=theusgovrnsucks6xn.png">

Yeah, he prob used a bullet going 1500+ fps. used fake dear lure and was quiet. I killed one in a car, going 70, honking the horn with the high beams on Where I live there are tons of elk. went dirt biking this year and seen 18 large elk runing on a trail |

Wow. You guys are bite-sized. I'm a sophomore right now. Last year when I was a freshman I was 6'4" and 245lbs. I started lifting weights September of last year. I am now a sophomore, 6'4 3/4", and 270 lbs. 25 lbs of muscle gained in one year. I didn't think lifting could make you gain that much in a year. Not to mention the 110 lbs I added onto my bench in the year. Tehehe. Although that isn't a bad deer. Nice job. I got myself a measly 4 point this year. Not bad for my first buck in archery season. My dad got a 7 point with a 20 inch spread on Wednesday from the same stand that I got my 4 point from. Its not fair. haha. -------------

However I cant believe how some of you piss all over his accomplishment. Maybe I'd see where you're coming from if I read his other posts and thought he was just a tool. I mean, if the poster in question is just a total tool I can see being a jerk to him just on general principal, but don't dis deer hunting. I don't know if it's legal here, but I'd like to try to kill a deer with a spear or knife sometime. I've tred sneaking up on them and slapping them on the can just to see if I can do it. Unfortunatly they're mostly stupid yearlings that I wouldn't want to kill anyways. |

| last year just befor the rut started my friend and i where walkin down a creek, all the sudden we heard some branchs snaping and a huge bull stepped out of the creek, we stopped and slowly walked backwards. this thing was probley 10 feet away, we only had a small hachet and a leatherman we didnt stand much of a chance. about 50 yards down streem we saw a tree stand... later that year we found out the owner of the stand died of a heart attack, about 2 weeks after our encounter with the bull. |

I prefer bow hunting over rifle any day just cause it adds something to the hunt. My first deer was taken from 300 yards away and well it just wasn't excinting enough. Then my first deer with a bow was 15 yards thats when you get upclose and personnal with a deer. One little noise and there gone. I suggest everyone to go bowhunting atleast once. If you don't mind sittin in a deer stand 30' up in usaully below freezing wether its fun though i really enjoy it. -------------

Beautiful animal. I don't bow hunt and our rifle season doesnt start up for another few weeks... Some of these kids on here don't really realize just how difficult it is to hunt deer. I just ignore the ones whose gums flap the most, they're the ones whose brains work the least. ------------- ? |

One of my freinds went bear hunting this weekend with a spear, he put bait at the base of his tree and climbed up 15 feet, he had a 15 foot spear and if a bear came directly under to eat the bait he would jab them with the spear. The bear will break off the spear inside so he would die. I killed a deer just yesterday.
I have to be a bit cautious about it, though. The humans are getting a bit nervous about me coming into their territory. If they see me, I always end up having to dodge Animal Control. If I don't start being a little more careful, I'll end up in a zoo, or shot. It sucks because they're the ones building their suburbs on my hunting grounds, and I get punished. My claws are getting a bit dull. |
