My computer crashed last night. I'm gonna try to fix it tonight. So have
you guys ever had problems with Windows so bad that it makes you sooo mad and yet you still can't kind out the problem and that makes you even more mad. -------------

I am sorry but if a user is unable to prevent a windows crashes I am not sure if the would have the skill to use Linux.
I dont know what you people are doing to or with your computers but I cant recall Windows ever crashing on my home pcs. -------------

Linux can get viruses, its just that no one writes viruses for linux. And I can't say my computer gives me any trouble. If windows acts up, there's a few things one can do to try and fix it, but I usually just to "to hell with it" and reformat. ------------- Ref: I want a nice clean game player: but it's paintball! |

This is an example of misinformation that really burns my ass. ANY Unix-based system (BSD, Linux, OS X) is a million times more secure than a Windows system, even if there were lots of viruses written for those Unix systems. A functional permissions system plus fewer loopholes elsewhere does wonders. |

If you go to the wrong pr0n sites it can really screw the hell out of
your computer. Pop-ups galore, and for those of you thinking "just get
a pop-up blocker" well before you can do that your computer will be
thoroughly infested with spyware and viruses. So watch where you go,
eh? And don't use IE. Then you should be good.

Anywho...My puter at home is still broken:( So I was gonna get a laptop for my birthday or X-Mas gift but just yesterday my parents decided not to get me a laptop!!!  They said that they'll get me a laptop nest year
for more of a Graduation gift so i sould use it for college. (hmph.) So they're gonna get me a new desktop instead. Still I'm excited but my heart was set on the laptop. Oh well. I guess the 'rents have a point. -------------

I dont suck, so my computer is fine. I run AVG anti virus every so often, and spybot once every few months. But, it never comes up with anything. Why? Because i dont suck. -------------

I'm with Hades on this one. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but personally, I'm sick of the windows sucks bandwagon. I would be willing to bet 50% of those is this thread that dissed windows have actually the intellectual common sense to not go to certain sites and download certain files, therefore they need OSX. I've had windows for years, and never one computer crash. Lightning once, but never a crash. The system is what you make of it, and if you suck at the internet, you suck with Microsoft. ------------- |
