I dont know either, but alot of the stock spyders that I've seen lately are doing this. It doesnt really make sense to me at all.

on the rodeo its really pointless to have a double trigger cause the trigger pull is to heavy to do any walking so really its just for noobs to say well ya i gotta a double trigger.

It doesn't fell weird when you shoot it. it just looks weird

he bought it new last year and it was only shot three times in his hands. I love it.Its a cool little back up. I think I did pretty good.

i personally like the classic spyders. the newer ones are stupid, but a compact 2000 would ABSORB upgrades. you can get a compact for like 30 bucks nowdays.

classic spyders rule!

$45 you cant beat that.  It could be a backup gun.

Should be fine. Decent price. Looks to be in good shape on the outside... I'm guessing it's still in decent shape on the inside.

Go ahead and invest in a spare spring kit, one or two spare cup seals, and a bunch of o-rings. These are the things that typically fail on Spyders, but if you have replacements and keep up with maintenance, I don't see why this gun would give you any trouble.
Spyders are easy to work on, and most internal seals are the same size as tank o-rings (015), which makes replacement cheap and easy.

If your friend didn't give you a manual, go ahead and http://www.kingman.com/section/support/manuals/spyder_rodeo.pdf - download it . It's nice to have the schematic so you can reassemble it correctly, and one thing Kingman does that is nice is give you the actual size/dimensions of replacement parts like o-rings.

Definitely lacks the durability of a Tippmann... but if you take care of it, and treat it a little "kinder and gentler" than you would a Tipp... you should be fine.

What are you talking about i've had this gun for 2 years now and its never let me down your just saying that cause its a spyder and half the people in the world are like spyders sucks but they don't like shorty said you have to be kind to them and i'm really tired of hearing people bash on spyders and they are great guns and come with good accesories on them unlike tippmann which is just for starters which is fine and all but you have to spend a few hundred dollars to get a tippmann good for speedball or for jus faster shooting. A spyder already comes with double trigger, drop forward, RVA, good Barrel, and regulator. All my friends have tippmanns and they always end up blowin a o-ring or something like that but my spyder has never let me down on the field and that is something you can respect!

END OF RANT
