The only thing I'd suggest, is that we limit the # of text posts on here. Don't get me wrong; I think it's great that we want to comment on other peoples guns, but the text posts really clog this thing up. If you want to comment, PM the person, or just tell more than 1 person at a time. Don't reply after each and every person posts; combine them all into 1 or 2. Just a thought on how to make this thing better.  But nice guns guys.

Jeez, when you ask that way, who can resist?

Ok here goes:
Tippmann A5
EGrip
Lapco 7.5 inch barrel
VL Drop forward mounted to a Lapco adapter
Front handguard came from Opgear.com. I'm not
sure if they still offer it or not.
Grip cover came from a local gun store.
The site rail came from Opsgear as well.
Red Dot electronic site (Tasco I believe)
Ricochet hopper
Cover the high pressure tube with material from
radio shack.
Guns swivels to mount the strap
6 position CAR stock (everyone has these now)
magazine is the Israeli M-16 mag mounted to an
Opsgear adapter.
I chose not to camo this one, the paint is textured flat
black from Home Depot (RustOleum). I've started
"weathering" the paint at the handguard to give it that
used look. I'll start on the body of the gun tonight.
Naturally, the stock won't be weathered since it's not
metal.

I got it from them probably a year or so ago. They
offered another called an UMP. The one I used is
designed to look like this handguard available for the
AR-15/M-16 weapons

Its a corrigated plastic cover, avilable at any computer store. They are normally used to bunch all your computer wires together. He just covered his gas line with it.

Not to disagree, but in case you haven't noticed, all
the markers Tippmann offers are MilSim markers.
Sure, they can be used for X-ball or Speedball or
what have you, but they aren't designed to look like
Autocockers, or Angels or even Spyders. They're
designed to look like military guns. I guess
Tippmann's market development department did
some research and determined that there was a
critical demand for military-style markers. I do agree
that the vast majority (mine included) all pretty much
have the same overall look and yes, that does get
tiring but that's because there is very little offered to
modify the standard markers and not everyone has
access to the resources that someone like
Thompsonshooter (awsome work) has.

^^^I disagree with your statment on most accounts. Yes the A-5 body was modeled after a MP5K SMG, but that is the only marker Tippmann has made thus far that is truely from the start milsim. Take a M98 for example, what is that supposed to look like that is a real firearm? Nothing, unless you want to make it that way. Most of Tippmann's older guns look nothing like a milsim, heck even the Custom Pro, and C-3 look nothing like real firearm stock. Its all as to how you like the marker. I personally am a functionality guy. If it works well that is all that matters to me, function over form. I just dont see the function of alot of these milsim parts, thats all, and when you see 30 guns that look exactly the same its annoying.

What I'm saying is that Tippmann's guns are black, not the glossy,
bright, multi-colored, Flash Gordony style markers such as the
speed ballers like and use. Tippmann chooses to produce a more
"tactical' type gun that is easily modified with parts from cottage
producers. Therefore I disagree with your statement that the M98 for
example, is not a MilSim style gun. You can't seriously think it's not
a MilSim. No, it doesn't look like any existing military weapon nor is
it supposed to. It looks like an automatic weapon - a "generic"
automatic weapon. Why do you think so many woodsballers choose
that one as their gun of choice? They could just as easily use a
Pirannah or similar gun except that they are usually brightly colored,
and very reflective.

I do agree that the "add-ons" are for looks only, but that's the
owner's choice, is it not?

Definition of MilSim- A paintball marker designed or modified to look like a real firearm.

The 98c straight out of the box is not Milsim, its only a tactical  marker.  Do you think what a  scenerio Automag, or a  VF Tactical is Milsim? Both of those guns  have a tactical paintjob.

lets just drop this right here because we are cloging up the mans post.

Agreed, and we'll drop it right after this:

Definition of tactical: pertaining to combat operations or to the
employment of units in actual combat. Does that not pertain to
military and therefore military simulation?

WARNING THIS IS A MILSIM!

I posted a photo of this gun in progress earlier in this thread. The
paint was unfinished. I just completed the paint and would like to
know what you all think about it. I recently saw a photo of a gun in a
news photo of Iraq that had a "used" look and thought it would be
different to try to duplicate that look. What do you think? I also have
a flatline for this gun that is painted the same. The camera flash
make the hopper seem rather glossy but it's as flat as the fun in
reality.

nauzerlvr - nice A-5....only thing i don't like is the choice of the M-4
stock...but other than that i like it...9.2 out of 10

JimmyC8277 - nice dude very nice...almost looks like my gun...only thing
i would like to see on your gun is a centerfeeder...9.4 out of 10.

Smitty - what can i say but 9.8 out of 10....nice

Custom51Rage - only 2 things i do not like...1. you are usin co2..hope
you upgrade like me soon..2. the Adco Sure Shot thing needs to go...sorry
but for your set up do not think it is needed..but nice set up...8.4 out of
10.

ekim98 - you never seem to have a bad gun...barrel looks weird to
me..but i love the e-bolt coverd up by the custom stock...gets a 9.8 out
of 10....

i disagree, i think nauzerivr`s "A5" looks ugly as sin; every conceivable
space on the marker is occupied by an accessory, most of them bulky,
heavy, and useless. on the other hand, i do enjoy the worn metallic
paintjob, very original.

I kind of agree.  And the drop throws it off.

^^I do like his gun, and I like the color of it....For one thing, the drop really doesnt throw it off....think if he didnt have a drop....his tank would go out farther then his stock and it will get in the way.....it might of been better for him to get a remote but its his gun...tippmanns are meant to be customized and it doesnt matter how much you have on the gun....some peoples guns are ugly as sin, and some peoples arent...^his is ok..

Yeah it does look awesome, but he could get a remoteline.  It'd look better than a drop.  Just my 2 cents.
