Who told you that the functionality of it suffers?  The 18" Micro-polished interior of its barrel lauches balls above and beyone what the Flatline puts out.  and I have no problem with consistant shots either.  Sometimes I feel like calling it the 'Mail Man' cuz it definetly delivers the package.

What I meant was that the wieght and the bulk of it make it ungainly. Also there is no way that your barrel can shoot as far, or further tahn the flatline. Simple laws of physics prevent this from happening.

I think your gun looks great, and I have a little bit of admiration for people who make their tippmanns into quality mil-sim pieces, as long as they can accept the self-imposed limitations they adopt.

But, there is no way (physically impossible) that your barrel has the same (or greater) range than the flatline. Accuracy at your barrels max range will certainly be better but, you'll be about 1/3 shorter in distance (granted you're not upping your velocity). Remember, longer is not better in paintball.

I doubt I am the only one on here to dispute your claim.

In general terms, the functionality suffers in that it shoots no better than a well-equipped tippmann (provided both guns are shooting well-matched paint) but, yet weighs pounds more and is much longer. This is bad for snapshooting specifically, and speedball in general.

If you're happy to play with what you got, by all means enjoy it. Just don't make false claims about it's capabilities.

It doesn't even closely resemble an M82. I have no idea what you're thinking. But it does look cool.

And yea, there's no way in hell that you can shoot farther just because your barrel is longer. It applies to real guns because there is no velocity limit (of course not, most are designed for human slaughter) and they want to make the most of the expanding gas.

Sweet pics.

I've been trying to do the same thing, but cant figure out where i can get a magazine for it. PM where you got that magazine from please.

Your lacking the hand grip that attaches to the top of it. You should also rig up something to get that 'handle' you see on the M82A1 stock (you know the thing you reach around and grab onto with your left hand while fireing).

Last comment about the Flatline vs. my Micro Polished barrel by Opsgear...  As far as the Flatline goes, sure You'll get the ball there. But where is there?  As for all out accuracy (a quality the flatline can't guarantee) it lacks some in that department.  Paintball isn't all about paint slinging and blind-firing. If so I'm sure there would be more Flatline users out there.  My claim here is that the 18" Interceptor Barrel put out by opsgear will give you both consistancy as well as accuracy.      But I guess unless you've shot both you wouldn't know that now would you....

I have a flatline and it shoots extreemly accurately. i dunno why some people have problems with them. maybe i just got lucky. but mine adds both a LOT of distance and waaay more accuracy to my shots.

*Heres a stock you might should look at if your going for a barrett look:

Its shaped much more like the stock on barrett rifles than the one you currently have on.

tippmannxtremz- Better statement there than the one you made earlier
about it 'launching balls above and beyond' than the flatline.
However, the reduced accuracy of the flatline doesn't remove
it's viability in a game. Your grouping may be bigger but, you
can compensate by shooting more paint, which sucks for $ but, if you do
it, you'll eliminate them before they get close enough to eliminate
you. In most games using one, even if I don't hit them, I
can pin somebody down before they get close enough to hit me.
This slows their advance, giving the rest of my team more time to
manuever. All I have to do is keep my eyes open for folks trying
to flank me. If they start to get too close, back up, rinse and
repeat.

But, don't get too high and mighty about the 'micro-polished'
marketing hype of OPSGEAR (or any other company). Your barrel may
be excellent in it's quality of construction but, most name brand
barrels (J&J, S.P., Stiffi,) that can be bought for more than a few
dollars less are just as well made, and will perform the same, provided
the paint is properly matched to the barrels. Oh, and I'm fairly
certain that an 18" barrel is less gas-efficient than a 12" barrel.

Tippmann89c- If your statement is true, one or two things applies:
1. You have the only barrel that can somehow bypass the
limitations inherent to all paintballs (seams and non-perfect spheres).
2. Or it's your perception that the barrel performs as good
as name brand barrels. This would be true if you're not doing
objective tests (bench testing under the same wind conditions, same
gun, and properly matched paint, at distances greater than 80ft).
Perception is one thing, reality can be another thing altogether.

Lucky duck. They're illegal to own/buy here in CA unless you are some kind of special. I would love to hold one.

If your velocity is set right, the flatline will be very accurate. I use a flatline, and would never go to anything else. I have used other barrels before, and found they lack compared to the flatline. UV Halo's statement was right on as well. Cool gun though. Speedballers aim????

Speedballer's aim is just lookin down the side of the barrel since all speedball guns are vertical feed.
