Oh come one, Choops, you know it would be cool if the mayor gave in to his city's burning desire to indulge its childhood dream and become an abstract form of government, rather than adhereing to all the rules put up by THE MAN to keep it in its 9-5 job of being just another working stiff on the clock of the Urban machine.
Anthromorphic idiocy gives me headaches.

Um, until someone else who wants power walks in with a shotgun and a knife, puts his head on a stick and claims the government as his. And who can say "no" ?? No-one, its anarchy. Yeah, shop owners would be thrilled, people can freely take things without paying, sure, the shopkeeper could try to make people pay however they want, but is that such a good idea? Think about what it would be like if there were NO rules of any sort. It could suck, sure you could get free crap, but what stops someone from running you down in their car for the heck of it?

Only in America? King Tut was king at a very young age. Some middle eastern counties are ruled by younger people than that because they inherited the thrown of there homeland.

You missed it choops. How many cities want to grow up to be anything? None, its a freaking CITY. it doesn't grow up. Har, Har.
Jesus, I miss the days when subtle sarcasm could at least be recognized, if not even enjoyed, on this forum.

Christ, I give up. Subtlety is dead.
Since everyone here is so damned hot on debating me as if I have a serious interest in anarchy, here you go. Anarchy is a form of government, its a "people policing themselves" form of government. Its one step less centralized than a true democracy (in which everyone gets a vote on everything) in that there is no vote, everyone barters, lives, works, and behaves how they want to. A working anarchy is a type of government, in the same way that staunch atheism is a type of religion.
While in reality anarchy might not work that well, the principle itself isn't flawwed. Like communism, the flaw lies within the human race's greed and lust for power. I find it a sad thing that most people truly do need laws and are incapable of governing themselves without being dishonest, irrational, and subverted. I don't honestly know if I could do it myself.
There. Discuss, but if I must participate in this idiotic discussion, I demand that you make applicable counterpoints instead of asinine, and ironically incorrect, corrections. USAF, the floor is yours. Choopie, feel free to join in, but lets not spew rhetoric about how the sky would fall and all that, please.
