I don't know where else to ask this question. I just finished reading PHOTOS, Sigs & Avatars . And I have successfully posted pictures to the forums over the past year. My question is, why is the system set up this way to require posting to a host to have the picture appear here in the forums. Why can we not directly upload from our computer into the text as the text of the post is being created?

Certainly seems complicated to me. And I do it so infrequently that I have to find a host again and relearn the process. There are a lot of questions that I answer that could be really clarified with a small diagram or picture, but I hesitate to include them when it is going to require such convoluted effort. Even with a cable connection it still requires time to open a hosting web site and store the pic there. And in the process of opening another page hope you didn't inadvertently click away from the "Post" composition page and loose everything you have written to that point.

Clicking on the "add image" button and uploading from the computer would sure improve the communication process.

heh... uploading straight to the forum would require so much server space. imagine how many people post pictures a day...

i just keep my imageshack open in a tab all of the time. i need something uploaded... it takes 10 seconds.

Didn't say it was hard...said it is convoluted...and unlike other forums in which I participate that require no extra steps to embed a picture.

This forum software is pretty bad. Asking for a built in uploader is like asking a poor person for a loan.
