When I press the trigger on my 98 Custom it occassionally lets off between 3-5 rapid shots, like an automatic (its only a semi) unfortunetaly the paintballs frequently break inside the barrel when this happens, any ideas?

-I was thinking of switching to compressed air for more consistency and maybe in the process fixing this problem

Is your tank full? If it is, you should take your gun apart and make sure all the O-rings are undamaged and reoil them.

the prob most likely is to mutch oil or your trigger sear is rounding if your trigger sear is rounding at the point were it sets in the rear bolt you can file it flat and square also you should check your trigger and sear springs or meybey your air presure is to high

omg....this is EXACTLY wut happened to me. here are ur problems (if the problem is the same one i had)

1) the ball stop is screwed

2) ur front bolt is also messed up

3) internal parts of ur trigger do not function properly

i tried everything to fix my 98 custom but i eventually just sent it in for free and tippmann fixed it for me.

Check to make sure your tank is full.
