Hey. O, I have a prob with my A-5. Right now my setup is
A-5, 14" Lapco Bigshot, Remote Line, SAW Stock, and a FULL Co2 tank.
Ok, now, when I shoot with it, I will lightly pull the trigger and it shoots basicly full auto. But the mode isn't on there. AND it will only shoot one ball when it sputters. So, is it the remote line? You tell me what to do, and I will be listening. I have a woodsball game comin up so ASAP would be great.

how long does it sputter for? will it keep going without slowing for a
while? or does it begin to slow down and start once it starts, maybe 10
seconds total?
make sure you tank is full, i know you said its full, but this it what they do when they are starved for air.
also, when using that remote? make sure you don't turn the knob all the
way in, when turning it on. this will choke the air flow. turn the knob
until its tight, then just make another turn, thats all.

Yes, the tank is full. I filled it the day before it sputtered. The sputtering is about 3 seonds long and it gets louder the longer it sputters. I have tried oiling my whole gun, including the bolt. I even checked out the remote line everywhere. Nothing! I am going to try to get it to my paintball store and let them check it out. I just don't wanna pay if yall have the answer. So, any other suggestions?

Take off the stock. That could be your problem - see if it works better without the stock.

try hooking it up without the remote and see what happens....make sure your gun is clean/oiled (even though you just said you oil it...you still gotta clean off the "old" oil)

Ok, I oiled my gun, but first un-oiled it. I wiped the oil off. Ok, the stock isn't the problem. I have shot it with the stock on and it worked fine. It has to be the remote line or something inside the gun, because i hooked the steel coil back on and there was no sputtering. I think I will just take it to the pball store and let the work on it. Thanks yall for tryin to help me out.

open your valve on the remote all the way, then close it one half turn.

like what you screw your tank into the remote, and the top where you can screw the thing in that pushes the pin in

I think you should remove your stock because sometimes the stock doesn't put enough pressure on your drive spring. This has happenend to me once. Also, your remote could be clogged with dirt or something restricting full air flow. (Not sure how you would fix that). Good Luck!

ok, i took the stock off and still sputtering. And thank yuo cheetos, people shouldn't be posting crap. Also, there is nothing in the remote, the air flow is at the full compacity. The gun has already been oiled, and i even oiled it twice. I split my gun in half to check for any loose things or anything, nothing. Man, this is a pain. Yall are helping though, the sputtering is softer and not as long. but we need someone to hit the jackpot.

what are you using as a trigger? did you replace any of the springs in
teh trigger? if you changed the sear spring, it can act up. the proper
tension is needed or else is may not work correctly.
some people can get away with changing their sear spring and some cannot.
thats all i can think of. with what we've gone through, this is it. i don't think it was mentioned before. good luck

Yes, my gun sputtered because of a worn down sear once. I replaced the sear it fixed my problem. Also, like everyone else has been saying. check springs on sear and trigger.
OR If all else fails, you can send your gun to Tippmann. They'll almost always fix it for free. My e-grip board was fried. I sent it to them, and they put a new board, new LP Chamber, new springs, and cleaned it up all for the low price of $0. That's right costed me nothing. Got to love Tippmann!
Good Luck

We figured it out. I will post what was wrong with it for other people who have this prob. It is kidna stupid, but knowing me, it is something I would miss, lol. Ok, it won't be in much detail. If you take ut your whole trigger there will be two peices on each side of the actual trigger, and that is what holds it in. Well, on the back of those, there is a slot that allows your trigger to move back and forth, making if shoot. Well, on one of mine I had a peice that came witht he double trigger and it wasn't a slot it was a hole. So, when I would pull the trigger to shoot, it would kidna lock down making a full auto effect. now, that probably makes NO sense to yall,a nd that is fine. I tried. And I have no clue how to post pics, if I did it would help.

It could be many reasons, look http://www.tippmann.com/cust_service/troubleshooting.aspx - here for some possible answers. Could be a worn rear bolt. How old is the marker?
