Anyone going to see Harry Potter tomorrow?

Perhaps at 11:59 tonight?

I personally am ditching school tomorrow to go see it.
Well, my little brother wants to see it, so I'm taking him, as an excuse to miss a big test and a project due.

I love the books, but I am not a fan of the movies.

I would rather keep the vision of what people look like/do in my head.

*deep breath*
- The story is supposed to start in the morning, before Marge arrivesMarge never floats into the sky
- Harry receives the Book for Care of Maguical creatures from Hagrid, not from Fudge
- They cut out the part where Hermione buys Crookshanks
- They cut out the days Harry spends alone (understandable but still)
- They make no distinction between a demontor just being there and attempting to suck out one's soul
- The choir crap doesnt happen in the book
- Dementors do not make everything around them turn icy and cold
- The dementors at the qudditch match do not fly around, nor do they fly at all
- They completely blew the scene with Harry chasing the snitch, he is supposed to be going head to head with Cedric for it, and they are not supposed to be miles in the clouds
- Harry telling Lupin about his broom does not involve the woods at all
- The first time Harry meets with Lupin outside of class is durring the Hogsmede trip and its in his office, not on that weird bridge thing, its important because its one of the clues that indicates what Lupin is.
(skipping a lot of smaller stuff)
- When Buckbeak gets sentenced to death Hagrid sends a letter, they dont go wading into the lake
- The Divination room has a rope ladder, not a stair case.  Further more, its not supposed to be like the other classrooms.
- Hermione leaves Divination long before the night of Wormtail's escape
- When Crookshanks apperently eats Scabbers, Ron and Hermione are a lot more angry then they are shown
- When Harry hears the prophacy its after his test, not when Hermione leaves
- The scene at Hagrids does not include Harry and Hermione throwing things at their counterparts and Hermione does not see her future self, further more the executioner does not chop a pumpkin but rather the fence and the party does not tour the grounds first
- The Whomping Willow does not pick up Harry and Hermione, they sneak in with the help of Crookshanks, they also left out Harry leaving behind the cloak that Snape uses
- The sequence with Pettigrew is too rushed and he looks rediculusly like a mouse, blown way out of proportion
- The werewolf never comes near Harry and Hermione and they do not Howl at it either
- The scene with Sirus and the Dementors takes place at the lake, not in the woods and Harry is with everyone when it happens.
- When they break Sirus out he is in Flitwick's room, not in some shed on the top of the tower
- They do not land in the court yard but rather at the top of a tower

And then there are lots of misquotes at important parts and the wardrobe is supposed to be strictly robes (I dont think the tie crap plays any role, its never mentioned or depeicted in the book) and a lot of added scenes.

Granted it is a movie but still, some of the crap they added was rediculous

P.S - I saw the movie twice and read the book a few times, these things just stick in my head

I don't think its worth missing school to go see a movie.

Very childish.

I can no longer take any valid criticism from you seriously, Wich is a pity.

All of you who are skipping school to see it, Complaining about the hair of fictional characters or Logging every difference between a book and a film are all, I am afraid to say.... Fanboys. I will probably see it, But i am not making any plans.I read the books and enjoyed them but i find the films very childish.

I do however think that Harry Potter is a rip-off of Lord of the rings but simplified greatly.

Just my 2 pence

A real man would go outside and plant a .44 round in his head after reading this.

Also, The name Harry Pothead, GENIUS! I mean ive never ever in my life once heard anybody say that, not even once. So original, how does one even think of these witty names?

Well, just got back, and it was OK.

ALOT of things left out/changed, but all in all it was fun and worth the day off of school.

There were actually a few little kids crying at the end, cause they were so scared, made me chuckle a bit.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think in the book, Dobby was the person who gave Harry the gillyweed. But in the movie, Neville gave it to him.ffYou know how in the book Hermoine was all upset over how House Elves were being treated? That is never even mentioned.Theres others, but i can't remember right now.

How was the final scene where cedric dies?
This was probably the best scene, IMO. Just like the book, the second Voldemort and Wormtail meet Harry and Cedric, Voldemort calls out" Kill the spare".. The scene goes on for quite a while, and is very well put together. Very dark , I might add.

Acting....I'm never one to be very critical of the acting, but all in all, I think they did a good job of portrayin the feelings and thoughts of the characters. Hermoine is probably the best actor(ess) in the movie.
Fleur?
Hawt, IMO. Some might think otherwise. Her accent isn't nearly annoying as the book portrays.

Hermione?

Like I said above, her acting was great. On the looks side of it, she is getting verrryyy good looking. The scene at the ball, when she comes down the stairs, she looks very hot.

Yea I read on some movie website that they were gonna have to make two films because of the length. so instead they decided to leave the whole House Elf Liberation part out. making it shorter indeed. and yes in the book dobby gives him the gillyweed
