That strikes have turned from one month consequences to one year? EDIT-Not fully in my case, but if you look at strikes, 98% of strikes are at least a month old. ------------- |

I've been back for about a week, so...ya I wonder why they are a year now...I remember back in February, when I last visited, that they were about a month

Mods don't go around wating for people's strikes to expire. You should usually tell the mods when your time is up. -------------

Actually, a Mod posted that in a thread when someone was asking why they got theirs. I'm fairly certain it was Enos (Although I may be wrong). He felt like he didn't deserve it, and the Mod just said wait your month like everyone else. And not only from the Mod/Mods, but alot of members here think it is only a month. But say your correct, why did the system change after a year? Because when I first came here under Tippy_182, I remember people only having strikes for a month, two at most. ------------- |

You think that my old username would be before this one, which I stated I saw the comment in a previous thread. That would mean my first username had to be before Feb. of this year. I quoted a long paragraph, and the guy had used **** to blur out a word so It hadn't registered in my mind as anything to not post. Granted, I know the rules, and it was my fault, *'s are considered cursing. I took the strike and didn't complain. This thread had nothing to do with the protesting of my strike, just more of the length of it and many others because I was under the impression that they only lasted a month from my previous time here. ------------- |

I had my first strike for about 4 or 5 months, then I got my second
strike. Then Rambino told me to choose my own title because I said I
wanted one, then it got changed, then I got guested.

Dont get a strike and you wont have to worry about it. You did the crime, do your time till the mods decide to take the strike away. There is not a set time for strikes to expire and there never was. |

In my opinion, to clear it up, there should be a set rule in the forum rules regarding the length, or to at least let people know. I saw your post, and I wasn't saying that you were complaining about the strike. You are however complaining about the length of time for having it and all I was stating is that you shouldn't have broken the forum rules in the first place. You got a strike, so what, let it go. As rambs said there never was and never will be a set date for the time a strike will remain. |

It's not for everyone, and I like acoustic, so I really like it. Not to mention the guy is only 15, and is extremely talented for his age. Pretty cool person to talk to as well. His band played warped tour when they came to NC, but thats just his little side project that I like more than his actual band. ------------- |

No, he actually posted on here saying the kid was emo but played half decent. I guess because I play guitar I like it more than most, but I think he plays well. One doesn't even have to like the lyrics or the singing to enjoy the guitar. But if it's not your thing, thats cool, alot of people still like him. ------------- |

Just being honest here. but... His guitar plaing really was nothing special. Typical amateur stuff. Not something that I could do, but still nothing that anyone just starting up should apsire to. His lyrics and voice go along with his guitar playing. That being said, my guess is that his guitar and voice could be manipulated enough for him to at least make it onto TRL. -------------

It's not so much the playing as the pattern of the songs. If you've never tried to write your own music it's hard. Like you said, it's been done before, but he's really good. Check out his band Ashwin on his friends list if your into the pop/punk warped tour thing. ------------- |
