Sorry, I'm new to the sport, and I was wondering what a low pressure kit does to your gun (98 Custom). Thanks for any help.

Reduces the amount of gas required to fire each shot. Reduces the report.

With the reduced weight hammer (rear bolt) supplied with the kit the marker may operate as low as ~300 psi. This can double the number of shots you get from a cylinder. With the addition of the requisite secondary regulator you may find that you can adjust velocity with the regulator alone...with the usual power tube mounted velocity screw backed off flush with the inside of the gas passage, efficiency of the marker improves.

The next step:

With the addition of the E-Bolt the need for gas to blow the hammer back to cock position is eliminated. At that point all gas can be directed to propel the ball. On my marker with the LPK and the E-Bolt I am operating at from 140 psi to no more than 180 psi, depending on the match of the paintball to the barrel bore diameter.
