for some reason, when i unscrew my co2 tank from my a-5, c02 starts spurting out more than normal and the co2 tank almost pops out of the ASA when ive finished unscrewing it. Afterwards the ASA gets really cold and the edges around the ASA go white. Do you know why this is happening? it doesnt usally happen. I think it might be due to the cold weather because its only happened when its been cold outside. Also, it says in my manual to screw the co2 tank out 3/4 of a turn so the pin valve closes and fire the remaining air supply out of the marker. Should i use that method instead from now on?

thanks for the help

yes, you should probably start doing this. They make a manual for a reason. It'll save on C02. Also, the white around the edges is just the liquid CO2. No worries there. Same thing as when you see white coming out of your barrel.

Pay attention when you screw the tank in. You can feel and hear the rotation when the marker pressurizes. I dry fire off the gas while I remove the tank.

Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken!

yes always follow what the manual says. When doing this you save air and it doesnt destroy your o rings as fast.

soory about bumping this post but im getting HPA now and i wondered if its worth using the method in the manual which is to screw the tank out 3/4 of a turn so the pin valve closes and fire the remaining air supply out of the marker. i dont see that much point in doing it because my bro has HPA and little or no air escapes when he unscrews it.

you should still fire out the gas in the gun, it will save the tank o-ring.

if you play at a feild that fills tanks free just fire out the rest of your air it is better for your o-rings, if not make sure to oil the marker

Yes, they use the same O Ring.

What a strange thread...

The basic idea is that the proper way to remove ANY tank from ANY gun (unless you have gas on/off, which you don't) is to turn the tank partially out, then shoot out the air in the gun, then remove the tank.  Doing anything else will damage o-rings, at least.

Turn the tank partially out.  Fire some blanks.  If gas is still feeding, turn the tank some more, then shoot some more.  Repeat until the gun stops firing, then remove the tank.

Thats not the way to look at it... lol.
Do you mean a total of 21 ounces or just one or the other?

consider geting a 20 oz tank. it could really save some time. I dont know how it will work out on an A5 but give it a shot. like i said you can save time. And time is money. or paint, your choice.

There is either an o-ring problem or you could just buy an on/off.
