Yup, he has asthma and took medication for it in the last ten years. That is completely unwaivable. He cant get in, it doesnt matter, he will never fly an airplane. Trust me, as someone who has went through the process, if he wants in, he'll get in. The recruiters job is to get you into boot camp, and they will push hell or high water up until your actually in. I've had broken fingers, tailbone, and a couple more that I was delibrately told to "forget" that are registered medical visits. I still made it through my check. If he wants in, he'll get in. ------------- |

Wrong, as usual. I start flight school in April. There is nothing about 10 years in the qualification thing, but I don't have anything showing the use of medication for the last 10 (as in 10 when I will be 17) years. The qualification thing is that no record after 12 years old, and there isn't. I can join the USAF if I want, athsma has nothing to do with that. Currently my athsma is almost non-existent, you can't tell I have it. Get your facts strait.
Again, even if athsma prevented me from flying in the military, I could join anyway. You people have not seen my medical records, and know close to nothing about me. Don't make assumptions. |

I talked with a military policy maker, you took medication for asthma. That makes it imposible for you to get into a jet for this country.

Who said I wanted to fly a jet? Plus, who did you talk to about it, that army guy right? He probably wouldn't know. I've talked to the ROTC people at my school, my grandpa (21 years USAF), and an A-10 pilot. The requirements say nothing about medication. Stop changing your story, first you say 10 years, now you imply ever. You're wrong. Give up. |

Nah, I get off the ground and under (for now) the clouds in June. You said the 10 years thing was for jets, how do you know thats still what I want to fly? How do you even know I still want to be a pilot? I've been looking into flying a C-130 for a while. Possibly a flight engineer instead. |
