they might be since they shoot a bunch of 68 cal. paint balls.

You might want to check your local fields. Some may allow it or turn the other cheeck, or even think it doesn't work, but there are other fields that have a strict policy against it. You may want to consider finding a barrel cover/plug for it though, if you're considering to buy that because if your local field require you to put a barrel plug on your gun and they are allowing you to have, use, and fire the gernade launcher, chances are your going to have it meet their safety expectation meaning chrono and plug.
