Home Depot gift cards.
I'll never get my old house fixed up. Especially if I don't have the cash to buy the needed supplies. Lowes accepted as well... but with Lowes fairly far away, and two Home Depots within 2.5mi of my house... HD is just more convenient. That's what I want. What I expect: stocking with coal, bag of flaming poop on my front porch, and a hefty credit card statement from buying everyone else what they want. Merry Ho-Hos. |

S3X MAS!!!! I asked my mother for either a 60 gb Ipod, or a 30 gb zen vision, hoping to play off of her wanting to not spend as much money as she had to, and hoping she would research which is better, so that she would get me the Zen vision(she already said she was going to get the ipod since they are practically the same, and I was hoping to make her look into both) She already ordered the 30 gb Ipod :( I guess I should be thankful I am getting something like this, and I am, but still. I also asked for a 360, just because its a happy medium between my x-box now and the supreme gaming technologies that are computers, which I know nothing about, and are more expensive. And a few DVD's And some new paintball pants should JT fail to provide ours quickly enough. -------------

I want to spend this christmas with my family and friends, rather than in the hospital scared out of my mind like I did last year. Quite possibly the most frightening experience I've ever had, and the most "big picture" inducing one.
My wife(then girlfriend) started having bouts of vertigo and violent nausea last year, shortly after a sprained ankle on a hike in late november. She was admitted to the hospital on the 19th of december because the vertigo hadn't stopped in two days solid, she was losing the ability to use her right side, and she had very nearly choked on her own vomit. Things got worse over the next few days. I literally spent christmas day last year holding her hand and talking to her constantly, because her vision had gone and she was scared to death. It took the doctors a week to get the back to walking straight(ish) and two weeks after that to completely figure out what was going on. Long story short, I'll be grateful just to be here and have everyoen healthy this year. |

I'm hoping I can get my parents to forgive the $300 debt I owe them. I told them that's all I want, but they say there, "has to be something to go under the tree," and "I have to learn my lesson," (it's court costs).
I already paid $500, so I'm hoping they'll come around and do it. If not I want a few CDs (RAtM and Bob Marley mostly), maybe a couple of movies, and new speakers for my car. -------------

It is in church. The meaning of christmas isnt lost in church. I have no real problem with C and E christians.
But an athiest taking advantage of a religious holiday purely to get together with family and exchange gifts, its so hollow, you should always be close with family. This year will be the second year im pretty much spending christmas alone, so yes, i would gladly refuse gifts if it meant i could be with family.

The jewish holiday is a lot more similar, labor day is forced at me, its a federal holiday, christmas is not a federal holiday. Labor day is just some day we get off, if i worked for low wages, ide rather work i bet. So, ONLY during the holidays do you be close with family and friends? Once the holidays are over you go back to fighting neck and neck with each other? I dont celebrate X-mas and i barely celebrate hanukah anymore, but i still give gifts and receive them. And i do it just because. I dont have much of a reason, yea sure its the holidays but i dont need to be religious to want to be kind and give a gift or two to someone. Saying you are offended because non religious people celebrate xmas is just completely ignorant. Xmas was all about Jesus being born...I think....The whol gift giving aspect of it comes from the Pagan Holiday. My family is really poor. My dad went to jail 2 years ago for 6 months and i've haven't seen him since (can't) and we've never had more than 800$ in our account to spend on things we dreadfully need well we actually rely on the friday checks my dad recieves from working(my mom works as well)... So my x-mas present is a 512 megabyte memory chip for our digital camera. The things you may or may not have seen on my gun...
