Anyways, they also have 98 mods, but not as many. this is a great milsim site. Here are some photos as well as the story. The whole process went rather smoothly. Thanks to the other people who posted their progress( Mehoo and r00 from pbownersgroup). Largest process was the metal stock mount. It was pretty hard steel so it took a while to grind and shape. Thank god for a band saw and metal blade. I left it pretty intact so that the left and right receiver halves didn’t flop around (the screws are able to be placed back in). Also I sanded the back of the A-5 receiver halves on both sides so it would slide in (not actually knowing that in the end the barrel comes out about the same length as the real one and is SOLID).

I did some extensive sanding and cutting and grinding to my A-5. Took off the little nubs and the feed arm for the cyclone. I wanted to go Q loader for that (planning for the 100 round C-mag to accompany it for realism). So I cut those off as well as the fin I ground down right behind where the front sight would be so one of the pins that hold the receiver in the front together would stay.

The only trimming of plastic in large amounts would be where the HG and Mag well go it has a section that connects on the receiver halves of the airsoft gun. That has to be removed so the bottom of the A-5 frame will slide through. No real degradation of stability because it has the mag well and hg to hold it together down there.

The Opsgear Interceptor barrel posed a slight problem in the front of the hg. Being a full inch around its very tight and required some trimming of the plastic in the front(no I didn’t touch the barrel). Still a little tight but it keeps the gun snug in its shell. Also the HG had to be trimmed out at the base so it would fit under and around the nose of the A-5. I love dremels and the flex attachment.

The mag well was pretty simple really just a little trim on the inside edges and cut down the front and back slightly so it fits and holds the gun frame up. Along with that was the grove that had to be made in the bottom of the frame so the mag well and release and receivers could be connected with the shoulder bolt. That was annoying. I put it all together and marked then took just the gun and trigger assy and started to make my groove. Just slow and tedious to get the right fit. The trigger frame had to be cut down for the fit of the mag well and also the actual trigger and sear frame so the pin would slide through(the one to connect the mag components).

The fire selector/trigger group was pretty simple. As I said I opted to keep my e grip. So all I did was cut the old handle off and place mine through no arduous trimming involved.

The inside of the receivers were just little trim this trim that to make snug and normal. Where the vel adj is just needed some trimming so it didn’t bow the right receiver frame.

The next step was working the charging handle in. Cutting the grooves and fine tuning it didn’t take to long at all. I put the gun together everything except the charging handle. Then I took a small long screw and put it through the little lever and pressed down hard enough to make a mark where it needed to start and end. Then after cutting the grooves I did the same to the charging handle inside the gun I marked where the screw would have to go. Then shaved, fitted, drilled, and done. It works nice and smooth. At the back in the top of the airsoft receivers there was a wall that needed to be cut out so it could have full range to cock the marker other wise it would half cock and slide back forward. Easy.

These are the only things that have to be modded. But to save money for those who want to do this I would say get a parts manual and order just the parts you need. Now I have a bunch of old internals I cant use. Hope some of you that want to try your hand at it find this helpful. If you need some other pics just ask.
Already got the Egrip, lol didnt think some people would believe its an A-5 in there so here are all the pics. Enjoy.

Oh opsgear...!?! i've had that in my favorites for like 3 years now.....
but he didn't use opsgear, he fit it into an Airsoft gun. Which looks way better if done tight, which he has......
But opsgear has the best/only Barrett M82A1 kit... that thing is awesome.

Hey, guess what, your wrong.
Lo is basically "it" in English. Assuming a gun is masculine, "Lo
me gusta" means "I like it". If you just said "me gusta"
you would be saying "I like". That would confuse people.
