astronomical gate prices and moderatly priced field paint. Learn how to run a field, its one or the other.
Either lower the gate prices or drop the Blood Red FPO.

Really, the only reason I didn't go to TWC this year was because it was going to be like $70 just to get in.

it was your high rates that got me to stop showing up to HS games. That and field paint that stains everything it touches.
By the way, how many tournaments has HSI run in the last few years?

The registration fees are the same or lower than any other
major event in the country.
The field paint is top of the line quality (Inferno) paint
cheaper than you can buy it anywhere, much less will not stain anything if you
wash your gear. Try it sometime!
Now that the two new 10-Man X-Ball and 20-Man XX-Ball fields are being built, I
think you'll see a lot of leagues & tournaments at HS next year. HS
has not held any tournaments because they didn't have any tournament fields.

haha, I already play/work at a world class field. Your's is a joke.
Isn't your field built on a landfill anyway? haha
Rumors aside.
and your prices are MUCH above average. When we hold major events, we
do either FPO, or charge a gate fee. Even our gate BYOP, event's arn;t
as much as your's.

I'm going with The Guy on this one fully.
Isn't stuff like this supposed to be aimed mostly at what the customer wants, as best as the field can....and you're here telling them what they want is wrong?...ok then.
Seems to me you'd do fine with a lower entry fee, since they're already buying your paint, and if the numbers are truely as high as you claim...then why such high admission? Couldnt you charge a couple bucks each and still be raking it in? Do what you gotta do man, but people have done nothing but complain about your field for the last while.

As a send off, I'd say "Man up"
If I didnt know you were a field owner, I would have guessed "angry 14 year old" The poor attempts at mocking? Angry emoticons? Be professional at least, thats just a poor, poor showing on your part. If you want to be taken seriously, write like a business person, not an immature jerkwad, and two, listen to your public. Common sense, they know what they want, you're the provider, so provide it, we know you can.

I made the mistake of going to the monster game last year, won't happen again until the prices get lowered on something.

I apologize for the out burst, it was
un-professional, and I didn’t mean to stoop to his level. You guys are right; we need to look at all
entry fees next year. I’ll check around and see what the other major playfields
are charging this year and make sure that we are offering a more affordable game.
Perhaps we can cut out the free team jerseys, cut back on the staff or give
away hi-pres. compressed air rather than nitrogen. I know that there are things
we can do to make the games cheaper and I appreciate all of your input. I’ll let you know what we come up with…

Now you're thinkin'. See, talk it out with customers in a professional manner, it's way better. Heck, make up/ send out questionaires to people that came and see what they want improved, or think you could do without. Maybe you're spending money on stuff no-one needs?

Yeah, now that that little outburst is over, how about actually finding out what the customers want? Last year I was actually planning on making the 600 mile trip out there for the TWC, but between hearing bad reviews and seeing that your prices have gone up, along with the fact that some forum regulars wouldn't be attending(really the main draw for the TWC, finally getting to sling paint with these guys and see which ones are just keyboard commandos) I said screw it and played more local big games. Sure, more people are getting into the sport, you can probably pull large numbers for events like this from 14 year olds who's parents will pay for it, but since you'd be driving away more mature players with jobs, you'd need even more refs. I kinda thought there was a possibility that the OMHW were being drama queens about the whole deal, but your outburst was totally out there. There are plenty of big games closer to home I can go to if I want to get raped. And quite a few than won't screw me. Act like an adult and try to at least consider some of the complaints people have. As for inferno, yeah, it's good, expensive paint, but isn't it a bit thin shelled, especially for guns like tippmanns that between high pressure, flatline barrels, and cyclone feeds, aren't know for being gentle on paint?
