I'd like to become a certified Tippmann airsmith (and a certified
airfill operator). Does anyone know if/when Tippmann offers this at
their factory, or anywhere else (besides PTI)?

It used to be that tippmann reps could certify you at your pro shop (if you worked there). They will not, in my experience, do it for the average joe. IF, and this is a very big IF, they were to offer it to the public at the factory, your best bet would be to give them a call at customer service and ask about it. The last thing a company wants though, are un-associated people running around saying that they're certified techs. Most paintball manufacturers offer certification to their clients as a way to ease the ammount of warranty repairs performed at the factory (especially for minor things).

go to paintball institute of technology, and you can certified to fix almost every marker in a short week long course.

THe Deal is if your proshop is an official tippmann dealer. They would have placed a huge order 2,000 bucks to start becoming one at least. There employees can go to this certification class at the factory were you learn all the ins and outs of tippys. like putting in the detent with out taking it apart. And you get a huge parts kit after your done. But you pay like a couple hundred bucks to get in. As for the airfill operator i recieved my liscense by the age of 15 you just need to know what your doing and do it quick.
