I've had mixed results with Ion's. When they first came out with them, SP had so many orders they couldn't get the markers put together fast enough so SP in thier infinate wisdom pulled people out of their offices that knew nothing about paintball to put these markers together. The guys would get them at the shop, and maybe 1 in 4 would actually work straight from SP. But since the intial rush to get them into the market SP has seemed to slow down enough that they can put quality back into them. We have had several people up to the shop, and at the field since then with messed up Ion's, but then again we have had people who have had 0 problems.... your choice...

I like my ION. The stock triggers arent all that good. I've seen one snap in half, I use the CP blade trigger.

Out of the box it is I think a very nice marker. You want to run HPA so hopefully you allready have the tank.

Hey!

You get what you pay for. It's a small, lightweight, and fairly fast entry-level electro-pnuematic marker. I've only seen them run well but haven't been around for the past three months either.

Good luck.

For what they cost, Ions are great guns.

Apparently they have a lot of kick (according to my friend who almost bought one), but they are a pretty good gun for the money.

98% of ion owners think ions are better than any high end gun. If you would like to bonus ball these idiots put this in your sig.

advice from a friend that "almost" bought one isnt very good advice.

I never really noticed a substantial kick with mine. Remember peeps this is a paintball marker not a real gun. I know markers do have some kick but come on
