I don't think I would like having an apex. I would probably just buy a nice regular barrel.

Haven't tried it yet, but it certainly sounds interesting.

It's cheating in the same way as the flatline, or a speed gun among regular semi & pumps.

Think and give them all you have from the beginning, and never weaken!

its not cheating!

its just another aspect to the sport

ive had mine 3 months and wouldnt want any other barrel

its longer range more accurate and better balance than the flatline and far better than a 12 or 14 inch barrel

get one!

I just don't see a need for it. My freak kit, in my opinion is much better.

It's been changed jackass.

I'd stick with a normal barrel (NOT a Flatline or Apex). Though the idea behind the Apex is intriguing, I've heard several complaints from people saying they're "cheap" as you can curve the ball in pretty much any direction imaginable. While I don't agree with those people, I would advise that if you do get an Apex, be prepared to potentially  take a lot of crap from others.

The Apex is kewl IMO. But, for me it wouldn't fit my style. But it's a great barrel none the less. So whatever works for you.

I agree.  The Apex is great, but it depends on what you want.  You're either going to get dead on accuracy, or have to sacrifice a little for the range.  At a short range like 40 feet, without flatline mode it performs as well as any other high end barrel, i've heard of it being dead-on for about 70 feet by some, but you have to remember, just like the complaints of the flatline being innacurate, as the ball goes a greater distance, the accuracy will drop, but it's better to have a 1 out of 5 chance of hitting the target at 300 feet than having none at all.

People also complain "there's no time to set the barrel, it's too complicated without instructions", this i do NOT understand.  All you do is twist and slide, and after getting used to it in a few games, you can adjust the barrel in less than a second-second and a half.  It's VERY simple, and will definitely give you the range you want, but youhave to understand, at 300 feet, you're going to have to put a few shots down field if you expect to hit anything.  (The Apex is also a little heavier than most barrels i would imagine, so i recommend going to a shop and asking to try it out first, but that's only if you are an avid complainer of pb marker weight.)

the apex looks ugly and barrel heavy. well i also dont see the need of the apex or flatline over a regular one or two piece barrel.
