They don't use 98's anymore. They actually are based out of my local field and they all use A-5's. It's nothing special. It's not like they all have sweet boards or any cool mods. Just basic black A-5's with egrips and double triggers. Kind of boring.

When I asked them at open play a while ago, they said they really don't use anything other than lightly upped a-5s. Tippmann didn't want them using WAS boards. That may or may not have changed. The last time I spoke with their coach was a couple months ago.

The marker in that picture is a 98C with an E-Bolt and low pressure kit. I don't know the barrel. A barrel doesn't exactly fall into the "mods to the marker" category since there are many choices that will perform equally well.

The E-Bolt, though no longer manufactured, is readily available from many on-line paintball stores. Prices range from $150 to about $225. With the E-Bolt you really don't need a complete LPK since the hammer (rear bolt) is replaced by the pneumatic ram. I found the valve and the volumizer chamber on EBay for about $35. Also, though not included in the LPK, you'd need to install a regulator. I'd recommend a Palmer because there is none better and the price is very good, ranging from $57 to $75 depending on the choice of method of connection to the system and the finish (chrome is available).

http://www.wickedairsports.com - www.wickedairsports.com . They make the WAS board for the E-gripped A-5's, and CP's (or 98c's if you have the new milling in the grip frame, and also the E-grip (which you need the new milling to be able to drop it in (without modding))).

Playing by the motto, "Shoot 'em up," the Tippmann Effect has been a part of the NPPL Super Seven Division One league since Erich Garbers formed the team in 1999.

Led by Coach Cesare Pizzo, the Tippmann Effect NPPL team adheres to a once-a-week practice schedule and will compete this year in all five NPPL events and a few smaller regional events.

They've won the AM/Open two years in a row and their goal this season is to win at least one major event and finish in the top five overall. When it comes to favorite products and getting an edge over the competition, the NPPL team uses Pro E's and Sniper Barrels

Playing by the motto, "Shoot 'em up," The Tippmann Effect has been a part of Division Three X-Ball since Erich Garbers formed the team in 1999.

Led by Coach Buddy Baur, formerly of the Detroit Thunder and Lockout, The Tippmann Effect adheres to a strict practice schedule that can be just as intense as the game itself. The team starts off their twice-a-week practices with a two-mile run, followed by intense physical training, sprints and three to four hours of drills.

It's this dedication that helped them win the AM/Open two years in a row. This year, the team will compete in five major tournaments and a few smaller regional events. Their goal is to win at least one major event this season and finish in the top three overall. When it comes to favorite products and getting an edge over the competition, the X-Ball team uses Camouflage A-5's with E-Grips and Sniper Barrels.

Impressive, does the WAS board live up to its name? I mean, has anyone seen it in action?
