I'm gettin an E-Grip system w/ my CP, but I do not know whether to save 20 bucks by buying it pre-installed w/ the gun or by buying it seperately and installing it myself. What should I do?

I installed the Egrip in my A-5, with pretty much no experience messing with any guns, and it turned out fine. But I guess its up to you, you may end up spending money getting it fixed if you mess something up.
Good Luck

yah thats the only thing I'm worried about. My friend seems to be good w/ installing and stuff, he's installed his RT and has fixed a lot of problems w/ other ppl's guns, but idk if those were simple probs or not. I could have him install it or I could take it to PEV's and pay 20 bucks. IDK, i'm not a very technical person. On tipp's website, it says the Custom Pro is:
The Custom Pro Basic is "E-Ready". The new grip frame has been re-molded and is able to accept a drop in electronic upgrade kit. This is an add on and is not included in this basic Custom Pro. These are the same e-components as in the A-5 E-Grip System.

I wasn't saying that I was impatient, I was merely saying that I've heard lots of responses from people saying that ordering online is not as reliable as self/proshop installs. It does save me 20, but would I rather have it done right and to my liking or risk having to wait 3 weeks to have it repaired and run the risk of it not being right then either?
Btw, if the grip wasn't installed properly, can the gun be shipped to tippmann to be checked out or would they not touch it?

is it a custom pro-e?

ya tippmann cp-e
what do u mean: "then you won't have a problem because tippmann jucks it on there for you"
Do you mean that the gun comes straight from the factory of Tippmann with the E pre-installed by Tippmann? Cuz if thats the case, then I'd def. go with the pre-installed. I'm under the assumption that the CP-E was just the CP until it reached the individual website's warehouses and they there put the e grip on, but if thats not the case then I'm def. going pre-installed.
BTW: Does Tippmann test their guns before they ship 'em out to suppliers like websites and stuff like that?

I've been doing research for a new marker to use. I've found that pre-installed upgraded markers are actually saving you money by making it a package deal. So, you'll not only save money on shipping (if that's an issue) but also on each individual item and professionally installation. If you know that this is absolutely what you want, get it preinstalled.
The bottom line is you'll save money buying it preinstalled.

ya its making a lot more sense to but it preinstalled. My only question is: Is the Custom Pro E a package offered by Tippmann itself or by the websites that put the Custom Pro and E Grip together?
BTW, i'm gonna order it online, and is Tippmannparts.com a good site, cuz thats where I'm ordering the barrel and hopper from too

Tippmann Installs the E-Grip in the factory, in the Pro-E Model. But it really isnt that hard to install yourself, ists just a matter of taking off your stock grip, and putting on the E-grip, then transfering you ASA over.

Yeah, I think that tippmann is putting these packages together as part of large factory-direct orders from the online places we know and love. There is no difference (even in description) that I've have seen from the different places that sell those setups.

thanks for everyone's info, this really helps. The main problem I was having was that I thought that the individual websites were putting the Custom Pro E together, which means they could do it however sloppily they wanted.
Btw, is this a good setup?
Custom Pro E, Cyclone Feed, 14" Bigshot?

this is coming from tippmann, so andrew, you're gun was made in the factory, were you worried about it when you bought it? lol, its all good though, I dont doubt your skills its just that if its saves me over 20 bucks and it gives me a out-of-the-box setup than thats fine. i have all the confidence that it'll work. Whats all this about an exansion chamber andrew? Andrew, find and list all the upgrades and things you've bought for your gun and put 'em in your sig.

I to agree with JcKa, I've never heard of people having any problems with factory-direct markers unless those markers are newly released and kinks that would be found universally in that marker no matter where some one got it.
