are these remotes any good , and does the slide check make a big difference

Should be fine. Slide check isn't necessary, but I would recommend one as they are a nice feature that allows for easier removal of the remote line from your gun.

ya, the slide check valve is an awsome convenience, it clears you marker of gas but still keeps the hose charged for when you need to put it back on the gun.

I prefer Redz. They should have a couple to choose from. Although I haven't been in the market for a while, so I'm not sure what's out anymore.

Yes they are good and get the one with the valve. I used a REDZ 4 pod and tank pack, it developed holes in the pod sleeves from rubbing against the tank sleeve. Not really a big deal but something to concider.
