I'm more likely to believe there was a Holocaust than I am to believe there is a president of Iran.
Lots of people have claimed it's a hoax, or a vast Jewish conspiracy, but I don't buy it. I've met Holocaust survivors and I've been to the concentration camp at Dachau. It feels very real to me. -------------

WWII was started because Germany was getting too outrageous in its
seizing of lost territory because of WWI, and going beyond. The
Holocaust was just something that was happening inside of Germany that
had little to do with WWII. |

I actually work with a guy who fought in WWII and was there when a camp was liberated. He and his surviving friends have breakfast once a week. -------------

My grandfather's unit liberated one of the smaller camps, I've seen the pictures, and I'm not willing to beleive the jews did that to themselves to get Isreal.
I'm glad to hear this stuff from Iran. It makes it a lot easier for us to get support for sanctions and the like from Europe. |

Yes, a holocaust is an all consuming fire. The Holocaust is the bad bad thing we've been discussing. Many never know the term existed before WWII. And Germany doesn't just admit it happened. Go there and publicly deny that it happened and you might find yourself in jail or paying fines. -------------

these days....Anyway, he also told Isreal to go to Europe a while back.
I wonder if he knows that they actually considered that before they
founded isreal where it is again. They also considered South America
too I think. Really though, in hindsight, it wouldn't have been a bad
idea to put it somewhere else. I mean, it wouldn't be the real Iseal
but at least it wouldn't be getting attacked every 10 years.....

That's a good point, but its still hard for me to conceive that someone was motivated enough to make such a ficticious tale. If it really didn't happen, I think that this could be the greatest propoganda movement in human history. But until I see something beyond the millions of photos, journals, recorded eye-witness testimony, and the holograms put up to mimick something of a concentration camp, I think I'll have to keep believeing that human beings are still capable of the great and aweful. It definitely happened, and twelve million people were definitely murdered. Not jsut the jews, but others as well. That's not to say the holocaust is any worse than some of the other atrocities this century, but I'd definitely put it in the top 5. ------------- "Abortion is not "choice" in America. World War 2 was 'officially' started when Germany invaded Poland and France and Britain declared war as a result of treaty obligations. The United States Navy had been attacking German naval assets several months prior to Pearl Harbour, and Germany declared war on the United States officially on December 11th 1941. America declared on Japan December 8th, but still had no intention to commit ground troops to Europe until the German declaration. Germany declared on the U.S. in hopes that the Japanese would attack the Soviet Union from the east, thus taking some Soviet pressure off the Germans on the western front. Really WW2 was an amalgamation of several conflicts. The Chinese and Japanese had been at war since 1937. Germany had been annexing European territories since at least 1938 with their invasion of Czechoslovakia, and Poland was just the breaking point. World War 2 doesn't make sense unless you look at it in relation to the outcome fo the Frist World War, and the European wars of the later half of the 1800s. Bull. Hiding mentions of stuff like the holocaust is self defeating. Atrocities should be spoken about far and wide, so that through awareness they can be mitigated next time they start. There's no reason to censor a picture of Hitler because he did something horrible- better to keep people aware fo problems like that.
