I need some help buying a pair of downhill Skis. I've looked all over and never recieved any useful info. im looking for high quality skis. i want to know what i will need to buy, how much it costs (total), and how to maintain the equpiment. help me out. pleze LOTS of information.

PS...if snowboards are your weapon of choice please let me know

You've provided us with nowhere near enough information, not to mention boots and bindings are just as or nearly as important.

Skill level, snow type, terrain, location, height, weight, price range, brand loyalty, misc. preferences are all huge factors, and by far not the only ones.

I'd suggest going to a pro shop and talking to someone knowledgable. All of those factors stated by hairball will come into play.

Must be easy to learn to ski these days with shaped skiis.
