Because.....
Imps are of terrible design. Everything on them is low grade. I know a lot of people that use imps, and they always break down for no reason.

The cocker is well, a cocker. If you know how to take care of it (time it and such) it will work fine. But, if you dont take the time to learn how and why everything works, it will mistreat you.

I concur.

Everyone I know who HAD an Impulse... well, that says it right there. They all HAD an Impulse, they no longer do.

For the Cocker you will have to learn how to properly maintain it, as it is more intricate than your standard blowback semi (Tippmann/Spyder/etc). Unless you have someone who is knowledgable and willing to do the work for you, or you learn how to do the in's and out's... abusing this gun with diving/etc will only result in an increased maintenance need... and if you can't meet those needs, the gun will spend a lot of time being unusable.

Wanting a gun that can take a lot of abuse, and is all-weather, limits your choices.
